The most famous I played against was Doug Flutie when he was at Toronto. They won the Grey Cup, he was tough, mobile, quick and the Canadian game was more suited for him. I played with and against some other great athletes in the Arena2 league but no real superstars or anything. I've coached some and against some great kids too. Too many to name.

    impressive stuff Seer.

Marion Barber III beat me in the seventh grade track meet in the 100 yard dash. However, I consider myself the default winner since district rules said each athlete could only compete in 1 event. He competed in all of the events and broke district records in most of the them so he should of been disqualified. I also played a lot of pond hockey against James Laurinaitis. Was friends with his older bro and we let him play with us. We used to ruff him up and he would get so pissed. Now I'm glad we don't play anymore so he can't get us back.

Now that would have been cool if you would have met up and played him/his team... They were a hell of a pair I agree... There hasn't been too many combinations like that since now that I think about it... A few but not a whole lot!

You have played against some good ones too..damn.. A lot of you have some good stories I agree with "Mofo"...

        Good thread too!

I guess I'll add my cents to this thread. I used to swim competetively during high school. I got to swim against Alex Baumann in one heat during this time. Despite me being a year older than him he kicked my ass. Given that he won two gold medals in the olympics in 1984 it shouldn't be surprising.

Re: best player you ever played against.

I remember there was a post here about best players ever played against a few weeks back. just wanted to add in Tracy Murray who I just played against in my adult basketball league. didnt recognize him at first, but then we did I just looked him up and he had a decent career. even had a 50 point game back in 98. funny to see him pop-up in an ordinary league.

                David Booth(Florida Panthers)
                T.J. Hensick(Colorado Avalanche)
                Matt Hunwick(Boston Bruins)
They were all on the same team I played against regularly. They were the best team in Michigan for our age group at the time.

                Ted Lindsay
                Alex Delvecchio
Played against them when I was like 10 or so between periods at a Wings game.

Ran against James Carter who is an olympian.

                      Ran against lamont Jordan.

got run over by lamont jordan.

got jumped over by Julian Peterson.

got a three pointer blocked by Dermarr Johnson when he was standing in the paint almost. Back then he was supposed to be the number 1 recruit and he was a soph.

Roommate had a funny tape of Deshaun Foster running behind a ref when his team was playing them in Cali.
