bad ass little piece, conceals really nice too, and i really like the integrated laser. i have bigger pistols, but i really like the feel of this guy and a .38 is definitely still going to do some damage, my second favorite is my .357 compact

In my eyes, the best way to protect myself would be to simply run away (at least that's what I did the only time someone tried to start a fight with me and I knew I would have no chance of winning). Having a gun in your house can also hurt your family. What if your kid plays with it? What is you forget to lock it away properly? What if your teenage son comes home drunk and wants to be a badassy mother****er and tries to show off in front of his friends? These possibilities outweigh the argument that one day this "mean burglar" might sneak into my house and I could only save my life by shooting him or her. If someone breaks in, they are more interested in your possessions than in you, no?
So, here is my Fazit...either I trust too much in human nature or you guys watch too many psychological thrillers and can't handle it.

No offense Jule, but you are coming off as very arrogant.

Maybe if you had some real world experience you would understand. For example...in my city there is a home invading serial rapist running around. This has been going on for the last few years and has happened 20+ times.

This added on to all the murders, robberies, felony assaults, shootings, stabbings, etc.

I would never expect my spouse to kill someone because I am being attacked. What about women defending themselves? And if you cannot defend yourself and your husband/boyfriend cannot help either without a gun, he surely can't help with a gun. This kind of scenario would involve more burglars than one and guess what, they would all have guns and kill the man of the house who approaches them armed first. What about making a phone call and letting the police handle it? How well do you think you can aim while your wife is being raped? Be realistic.

Im not a gun advocate. I agree with our 2nd amendment rights to own a gun or two, but not an arsenal. And I think its way too easy to get one. And more than a criminal background check should be required. An IQ test should also be administered. Because people who have gun crimes on their record were once just a stupid person without a gun
