For one who has no interest, it sounds at least plausible that one who wanted to end life that they would take sedatives to disable, set an oven with no flame to kill oneself, then have the gas build up to the point of explosion. Of course, that could be an episode of a police drama as well.

I was just posting what I could find on google. At the time the news had pretty much just come out and I was checking all sources. As I stated in the post we really don't know what's going on and that was just another article, stupid or not, to consider in tying to narrow down what's going on. i dont know what the gentleman's bankroll was but 500K on the championship gm in college hoops is a humongous wager to place on the final gm of the yr when the spread is so tight. theyre saying he lost the wager so he musta taken duke minus the pts or the over. either way, maybe he was counting on that money to help him get out of debt and when it lost he saw no hope or maybe he just found himself mixed in with the wrong crowd or even worse had a terminal illness or maybe he was just extremely depressed. maybe we will never know but in the end its only his family that needs to know and it is nobody elses business. it is very sad for his family, most esp his children and grandchildren. may he and his wife RIP and may the family find strength during such a horrible time

Weitzner Son Claims Suicide: Still No Official Reports
The son of online gambling portal owner Kenneth Weitzner revealed on Sunday that both his stepfather and mother died of an apparent lethal dose of pills and carbon monoxide some time late Wednesday night with the bodies discovered Saturday morning.
Weitzner was the founder of TheRx.com and EOG.com. The later website, a sports betting portal, he still owned.
Posting under the handle of "Montana", the son writes:
As you can imagine this is a terrible time for our family. I have lost my beautiful mother and my close friend and stepfather Ken.
I just want to come on EOG to confirm the loss. Ken and my mother have passed away. They took their own lives sometime late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning with sleeping pills carbon monoxide...
I want to let all of you know that he loved EOG and the posters...it was his passion. He mention this in a note he left for me and wanted to say he was sorry for leaving you all...mostly Mo, Blondie, Ball, and Jimmy who worked so hard to keep EOG rolling. I am at his desk...crying my eyes out as I type..
They left no reason for what they did thou I have my own ideas....I am just very sad and my heart is broken...I lost my best friend of the last 40+ years and the greatest mom a fellas could have....my heart is truely broken. If there is a heaven I know my mom is there planting flowers and waiting on her family to arrive one day....Ken's family...by brother, our wives and their heartbroken grandchildren will celebrate their lives on Tuesday.

No official police report has been made public, however, nor were local media outlets aware of the apparent double suicide. Local media is in the process of trying to learn more.
A double suicide/murder, especially one involving a multi-millionaire, in a relatively small community like Chesapeake, Virginia, is big news.
Local law enforcement and the coroner's office would have to determine the exact cause of death and whether foul play was involved.
As of today no report on this event was filed by police in Chesapeake or the immediate area (see: Here)

Ken Weitzner did a Podcast with John Kelley on Wednesday, April 7th and sounds very lucid and animated as they discussed the Duke win. Interestingly enough, he also discusses gambling management. Ken states that he never bets more than he can afford to lose. This night, April 7th according to his son-in-law, is when he and his wife may have reportedly committed suicide.
