From staff reports • April 11, 2010

Like you said, this is becoming even stranger...
It could really become almost too coincidental if in fact this scenario is true- The report in the little town of Waynesville, NC about 2 bodies found at a house there, was reported by the Citizen-Times, which just happens to be EOG poster SportsGirl's newspaper that she writes for. Shrink and Tony went to visit her at a Dart match that was held n Virgina beach at the end of March.Comment -

#117I don't think this is the time nor place to bash Wil @ RX. He made a respectful post at EOG, and whether the post is stickied or not at RX is not a measure of feelings.Comment -

#119I have been talking with Nancy (sportsgirl). She is on vacation, heading home today, and wasn't aware that any of this took place. She also confirmed that Ken didn't seem out of sorts when she met with he and Tony.
Very odd story considering the events leading up to this news.

#121sorry, it's been a full day already and he was a pretty influential figure in the offshore industry. I won't believe he's dead until something concrete comes out. Otherwise, this just sounds like another ClipJoint incident.Comment -

EOG Mourns the Loss and Celebrates the Lives of Kenneth and Jackie Weitzner
written April 11, 2010 by EOG Staff
As the first light of dawn creeps over the horizon sadness looms over Eye on Gambling and its posting body. EOG's founder Kenneth Weitzner aka "The Shrink" and his beloved wife Jackie aka "Scarlett" passed away on Saturday April 10, 2010.
At this time, the details of their death have not been officially made public and when or if the family so chooses they can release these details when they are ready.
The staff here at Eye on Gambling extends our deepest condolences to Ken and Jackie's two sons, five grandchildren, his mother, sister and nephew, Lenny, immediate family, and dear friends.
We would also like to thank those that have offered assistance to us in this time of tragedy including the other forum owners for the respectful manner in which they are handling the threads at their own forums.
Ken's influence and presence in the offshore gambling world will not be forgotten. Ken is well known throughout the industry for his formation of the The Prescription in 1997, which he later sold in 2002. However, he remained on staff until 2005. In 2005, he founded Eye on Gambling and up until his death ran the day-to-day operations of the site.
On a personal level, Ken was known for his shrewd, innovative business ability, his generosity, his humor, and his willingness to help others. His infectious personality will be a lasting memory for those he left behind. His love for his family and friends, Old Dominion, the Yankees, and the Jets was well known amongst the posters.
He had a kind and caring nature that many did not get the privilege to witness. His passion and drive for the industry and life led him to have many people who dearly cared about him as well as those that did not like him at all.
For those of you that attended the first EOG Blast, you had the pleasure to meet Jackie. She was a very gracious and considerate woman. She had a wonderful smile that made everyone feel important and welcome. She was the strong will in the family and family was extremely important to her. She adored her sons and grandchildren.
The void left by these two wonderful people never will be completely filled both in the offshore gambling world and in the lives of family and friends.Comment -

#131wrigley, as far as I'm concerned, eog is doing a stand-up job of making the situation even cloudier. In typical Shrink-like fashion, everyone is left to scratch their heads and think if they should believe this or not. As the days go by and all there is to show are these little article tributes, the story gets fishier and fishier.Comment -

#132Read some things on the internet, he is probably not dead, it may have something to do with some legal stuff that happened last week with one of the offshore books he knows well... I have a feeling he is probably gone until those issues are resolved, maybe he is scared or maybe something else, who knows... I bet there is alot more to this than we knowComment -

#134...you know you're in a strange business when half of the community do not believe the news of your death, but instead think it's a ploy to escape a gambling debt, or a ruse to push up hits at your site...

#140a guy dies----either from an exlosion, or a car accident---and there isn't a single news piece to confirm it?
Yeah, that dog ain't huntin'.
Did he really lose 500K on a single bet at Matchbook? That is actually kind of funny.Comment
