#11yeah, it's over.. what I've got on the series is lost.
the first game was nothing but a fluke.
The problem isn't Harden, and it's not D'Antoni either,
it's the roster. Take away Harden and you have a cellar team.
They have no inside presence. Nene is going through the motions.
They need a new Center and a new PF, maybe even a new PG.
Spurs vs Warriors... Warriors vs. Cavs...Last edited by Snowball; 05-06-17, 11:03 AM.Comment -

#12Easy answer is both. He is trying to be JJ on some scale and if they are offering him coin for a large amount of idiotic threads, there you have it. If so, they are getting ripped off. 58000 posts worth of garbage.Comment -

#13Raptors and Rockets are done in their series IMO.. Houston might win the next game but Harden and his chest cold looked like garbage last night.. Team showed very little fight and heart.. They could be packing it in now just like Toronto...

#14After Game 1 everyone thought that the Spurs were DONE. Rockets dominated and the Spurs were too old and slow. Alderidge was ready for the scrap heap, too.
After Game 2 everyone was split. Rockets looked like junk but they 'got the one on the road they needed' and Parker was hurt. Some people said that didn't matter, others said you can't lose your veteran leader without consequences.
Now after Game 3 the Rockets are trash and dead (not referring to your comments LB, talking game comments....they do look a little ghetto). Alderidge is once again a viable option.
Here's the issue....the entire Rockets offense comes from those little cuts to the basket by guys like Nene and Harden. The Spurs have effectively taken those away. Those cuts set up their 3 point shots that are essential to them scoring.
The ball is now in D'Antoni's court. If he can figure out a way to overcome this they have a chance...Williams, Nene and others were all neutralized last night and it became the Harden show. I am not sure which way this is going to go....probably can't even bet the next game, sides or totals and won't until I can figure out what is happening.Comment -

#15Dantoni's problem is he refuses to make adjustments. Grant Hill who played for him in phx even admitted much on nbatv last night, its not his style to change anything about the way they play offense. He feels the system is unstoppable if his guys make shots and well, most systems are when that happens.
Killed him everywhere he has gone...even when he didnt have the personnel for it his last yr in phx, la, and ny he still refused to change it.Comment -

#18Houston has two leading candidates for 6th man in Williams and Gordon (who broke the record for 3's made by a reserve). The supporting cast has looked good all year...until they are over matched.Comment -

#19Problem is Harden and the rest of Houston cast just aren't very good defensive players.. Needless to say D'Antoni isn't a defensive minded coach either..
Houston is a offensive minded jump shooting team mostly.. Spurs are a defensive team.. Defense wins championships...Comment
