after 3-4 days of cravings and sluggishness on this diet, i get super amounts of energy.... part of how my metabolism thrives on ketones, which is what your body produces to burn (as sugar) from fat reserves, when you are in a calorie deficit.

works, great for me, and lot of other people i know in real life and on the internet. but some people can't and shouldn't do it.

Chi, that is by and large my diet. I've put on a phuck-ton of LEAN muscle in the last 6-months, following the "chaos and pain" training style and eating almost nothing but meat, eggs and leafy greens.

it's not that i hate fat people, but damn... if you let yourself get to that point, you obviously do not care about your own health, which is a damn shame.

seer don't tell me you weigh your baked potatoes lol basically simple sugars that are in many fruits especially grapes watermelon are high in glycemic carbs where oatmeal wheat flour, keep control of your insulin .if you control your insulin you control your hunger, also simple sugars that are digested causes the body to hold on to alot of unnecessary fluids , thats why body builders like to blow all that extra fluid before competing they do it by controlling fluids . eat as much fish as you can broiled with a baked potatoe to keep your weight down, studies have proven if you can go into a semi starvation mode if done properly you can possibly live to be 120- 150 years or older just by doing without the calories, this has been proven with people and they also did long term studies with rats going up and thriugh the 150 yr marker.

metabolism slowly downshifts every year from about 25 on. i noticed a big change at 29-30. a bit before my 30th b-day i decided i'd get in the best shape of my life....from the worst shape of my life in the 12 weeks before my birthday. i got real close following the above diet and intense training.

i lost 53 pounds of superfleous tissue and gained(regained 12 lbs of lean mass)

I then regained about 10 lbs via an almost beer only diet with my gf on springbreak that year, in about 6 days

Get off the treadmill and run outside it will not wear you down as much as it is easier to alter your pace. Mix running with walking (ie. run 3/4 mile then walk 1/4 mile and so on), you will be able to go longer and burn more calories if you mix running with walking and you will not wear down as easy. Some good advice earlier around complex carbs and hydration. Powerade zero has no calories but has electrolytes so it is better than water. Oatmeal is great - Quaker makes Oatmeal bars called Oatmeal To Go that I find work well. Also think about signing up for a 5K or 10K its great motivation maybe even work your way up to a half Marathon.

Also 5 hour energy is good - peps you up and curbs your appetite a bit. As far as beer, do not think light beer is always the answer you save some calories but could end up drinking twice as many. Try Micro beers that are fuller you will end up drinking less. Better drinking 6 or 7 micros than slurpin down a dozen coors lights.
