they rarely if ever race at post time, there are always delays

they just exploit this to their benefit - the disparity in OFFICIAL POST TIME and the actual off

i had a few issues with the racebook but i think i have it figured out: scan all races for a few choice plays. place bets long before post time and try to forget about it. was down 50, then up 50, down 50 then wacked the exacta in the last one at balmoral tonight for close to 300pts.
sad part was the 1st thing i thought of was "are they gonna pay this one out?"-they paid

sbr racebook is easy to use and quicker than my bodog horse book. just be sure to place bets early. but i said that already...

thing about placing bets early is that, i am a value player. today when i placed a bet early, the horse i liked was at 2-1, but drifted down to 4-5 by post. if i bet around post time i would have passed on him. also watching the tote is how a lot of people play horses so they bet at the very last moment, so thats a problem with the racebook.

i'm assuming that the system is going by the off time not by the actual time the gate opens, and with the added 2 minutes it's really killing the race book.

DGS is working on an option to close the feeds earlier to account for occasional time inconsistencies, unfortunately we are unable to modify their code to make the adjustment ourselves.
