#1) I agree. The quality overall has been down. What does that have to do with some big names leaving? I don't know. Forums always take hits once NFL gets the post season and especially after SB.
#2) I think I speak for everyone when I say that the reason this forums quality has gone down a bit because of all these ****ing stupid threads.

How many threads can one make about how much they mean to the forum? How many different ways can people phrase the same three things people say to JJ? It will get better, I hope.

You can do a search and find people were saying the same thing back in 06. Forums, especially this one, are just very dynamic. When mofome left some thought it was the end of the world for SBR. A few have huffed out and I cant even remember their name. Yet SBR continues to grow while the others fade away. The forum is growing faster than ever and will continue to as long as SBR innovates and leads like the horse book opening in a few weeks and poker and even a live pick 3 for points administered live in the SBR studio by a veryyyy sexy girl. SBR is fine and continues to grow while maintaining integrity in all the new innovations.

Its funny because the other forums used to LOVEEEE to throw up these charts when they had huge leads. Funny none of them mention them anymore.

The forum has done a great job managing the growth. Yes those bent at causing disruptions will be run off. But those who want to be part of something fun are here in record numbers posting their brains out and having a great time. Thats the way it should be.

John I really love the graph you have just posted because it proved my point that is the posters who make the growth. You have had paid posters for the last 2 years, you and I know who they are and there is no need to deny it. The growth has started in the last 6 months. This means the paid posters have little involvement in making the forum grow. I remember two years ago during Euro 08 there were 2 threads in the soccer forum and now the soccer forum is one of the busiest forums. It is my believe that if you invest more in giving the posters what they want and eliminate the paid posters the growth will be even faster. One of the things you can do is make soccer available in sbrpicks.com for both contests offered by SBR and books and for contests between posters. With the Word Cup in only 5 months from now this needs to be in place ASAP because you are going to miss a lot of new posters. Offer more soccer contests if your goal is to expand globally. Paid posters will not grow the forum but if you attract sports fans and gamblers they will stay here for a long time as long as you offer them contests and all the other tools SBR offers. Offer more prizes to posters and fire all the paid posters so the money goes to all the posters who support the forum.
