Right now it looks like djokovic might be turning the corner. He's outplayed rafa in key parts of the last two french matches but rafa found a way.

I think he finds a way again but I reserve the right to change my pick in case of injury

Djokovic isn't going to win. His body wont be able to take it.

watch djoker a wrist if he gets pushed to a 4 or 5 setter early in the tournament. Wouldn't be suprised to see Ferrer or someone random to win. IF Nadals focused I think in a 5 set formula on this surface, djoker is the only guy ATM that can beat him.... IMO Nadal looks like he's logged too much tennis in the last 13 months or so.

A lot will depend on the draw. If Djoker can avoid the likes of Ferrer, he can potentially get to the Final by dropping only a set or two. If not, it will be tougher but might still be doable. His wrist looked OK in Rome but you never know if it hold up for seven best-of-five matches. Still, at least he has some mental edge over Nadalski right now. I do not think anybody else can take a best-of-five match from Nadal even when Nadal does not look uber-sharp. Do you see another Soderling on the tour right now ? I don't. Maybe a healthy Wawrinka, but he has been petering out since Aus Open.

Wawrinka is more over-rated than Swiss cheese.

if Giraffe catches fire, he could make a deep run. Djokovic said this was the first time in a long time that he felt helpless on Anybody's serve.

Younger guys aren't closing shit on clay in a best of five. Hard courts are where we might see more upsets, but specialty surfaces like clay & grass will be the toughest to beat the top guys on who know how to manipulate the surface to their strengths.

The younger guys arent even close on clay. Only one possibly was Nishikori but in a best of five, he will get injured even more.

We'll see. There's a massive difference in being able to stick with either guy for three sets vs. five. They may not be as dominant as they were, but on this surface neither is likely to get pushed much until they get into the 4th round or so - unless something funky happened with the draw. This is why we see the same guys winning year after year for the most part at Slams. They know how to conserve energy. Take care of business early to afford yourself more rest and better effort when you run into tougher opponents.

That's where a lot of these young guys get fukked. They don't put forth the proper effort every round early on, expecting maybe to roll easy and then they find themselves having to play an extra set or two and spending an extra 1-2 hours on court. That's where Nadal and Djokovic win later in the tournament without even being on the court.

Their days of total dominance from Round 1 to the Final won't be seen, but really outside of Djokovic's dream season and Rafa at Roland Garros - that has become more rare for several years now.
