MLB (Manfred) needs to tweak the playoff format.
Currently, the top two division winners earn a first-round bye.
The Brewers won the NL Central with 103 wins, and the Dodgers won the NL West with 100 wins.
They earned the byes.
The Braves won the East with 94 wins, and, unfortunately, they have to play a WC series.
I would like to see the three division winners and the best second-place team receive a first-round bye and be seeded 1- 4 accordingly, or award the three division winners a bye or something to that effect.Comment
