I wrote a response in the points pool thread. You had 271 points on June 30th and had like 30 some points on the first then sent them to the book. You had time to join early and if you did lose the points then you could just ask for a loan or let me know you want to join like Sammy did.

I don't care, because I think we will have a long streak like usual, but you would be 1 win off from first place with your timing of joining I think is the main issue. If it was like W3, then I don't think it would be that big of a deal.

Yeah, I have to agree, I think allowing a couple of days grace period is ok, we could make the cut off 2 days into the month. If you're not in by then or made a loan with somebody, no dice! And certainly no fuk'in way with a W5. In this game that's way too much advantage! Win 3 or less maybe and that's only if everybody agreed to it. We could vote on it, Win 3 or less or cut off date.

Agreed.

The exact line is hard to draw, but clearly joining on the 6th of the month with an active W5 isn't going to work.

Like it the way it is, no need to change things up. Seriously if guys can't set aside 20 pts and submit before the deadline, then they shouldn't be in the contest. Worst case allow them to join by 12 noon on the 1st of the month with no winning streak currently. Pending play is ok...

Yeah, but add a few more lucky wins and now you're at W9 or 10 and for a guy who entered "on time", now that is gonna be difficult to catch! I think 2 days is pretty fair, hell the more the merrier. But don't wait until you're on a W5 and decide now you want in.

If you said you wanted in since day 1 regardless of the points there would be zero discussion. You had points at the time too. You obviously know we have been doing a monthly contest for the past few months. Everybody else could just wait until they get a decent streak going before they join and then there would be no point to doing points before the month starts.

I read in one of those discussions that quite a few people thought the Galaxy weren't going to do anything. I know nothing about soccer though to risk my streak. I also considered any other on Cycling when I had a 3 I think, but again know nothing about it.

I should be at W3 right now, but I missed the damn pick barely

then I missed real salt lake by seconds, which was an easy pick

so that left arizona game (no way) and yankees game, which was a brutal decision.

I ended up passing, although I probably should have taken the Yankees.

It would've created a problem for me, so I considered taking Seattle, but I couldn't pull the trigger. So I passed on a W2. Ugh.
