The Prick's plays are always at the very bottom of the standings list, both in the Main page and Standings tab. There's a middle finger icon next to his name.

I'm looking forward to see our collective record. So far it sucks. By the end of the season we'll be in the long run for sure.

The general option is our default lineset in case there's ever any issue with our main lineset. There are no restrictions against using our default lineset if doing so would allow you can grab a few cents better price here or there.

Can you beat the prick by tying him ?

say both you and Prick go 3-1, hit the BB, but you win more units than he does.

            Do you win ?

Yes sir- that scenario is covered under original post.

If the Prick goes 3-1 +3.00 units, and you go 3-1 +3.01 units, you have beaten the Prick and will cash in a portion of the $5,000 Prize-Pool.

Then why wouldn't a better 4-0, also beat him ?

I know I've read it does not, but using the same logic, I think it should win ?

The spirit and theme of the Beat The Prick contest is, if the Prick goes 4-0, nobody wins.

Now that we have SBRpicks and dynamic lines we're able to reward those that tie the record and end up with more units, but when The Prick is perfect that weekly pool is off the table.

Payouts a lot quicker than last years. Thanks !

One question though, in the SBRPicks software is clearly states that all prizes require 4X rollover for withdrawal. On some of the sites there are conflicting statements regarding "bonus money". Not to put the cart before the horse...but are we able to count on that 4X rollover rule? I am close with week 1 winnings and wondering what will happen if I try to - (gasp) cashout - the taboo word for most books.

                        Thanks.

All Beat The Prick prizes will carry the same 4X rollover at each sportsbook. Any bonus text the sportsbook might have for general purposes is inapplicable for this contest.

first i would just like to thank the mods for keeping this little thing of ours running smoothly and of course none of this fun would even be avialble to be had if we couldnt count on the prick being so absolutely brutal... his handicapping skills suck also, which just adds to the virtual guarantee of making money most weeks.

my question is this: when i end up going 2-2 this week with +1.30 units thanks to some creative line manipulation and provided that lets say the prick goes 3-1 and loses his best bet giving him a 3-1 record with only +.80 units do i make money? according to everything i have read as long as prick doesnt go 4-0 and i go at least 2-2 and have more positive units than the prick then i would be in the money. of course it doesnt technically make sense that i could cash after going 2-2 when prick is 3-1 i can see how you would still put me in the money because i would have hit my best bet and prick would have lost his. so am i in the money as long as prick isnt 4-0 and i finish .500 or better with more units than prick? can i win money if i go 2-2 and prick goes 3-1 as long as i have more units?

sorry for being so brutally longwinded. and thanks for all your help.

thanks for the quick reply. now i just need dallas-10 and san fran -7.5 - i laid the extra points in favor of the +115 and +110 lines. figure either both teams play like they should and cover easy or else they will just both lose, lol, cant honestly figure which has a better chance of happening - one thing we can always count on is actually having a shot at $$$ each week cuz el pricko won't sniff 4-0 all year.... thz again for the quick answer lou.

                                    Lets say Prick goes 3-1

                                    10 people go 4-0 +5 units

                                    2 people go 4-0 +5.2 units

Do those two people get more money than the other 10 people since they have more units won?

Yes that's correct, they will receive a slightly larger portion than those that finished with +5.00 units.

with the BB, it's like you really both go 3-2.

Makes sense to grab a line that's like +100 or +105, if you can.

How are the payout amounts determined? I haven't found that anywhere. I realize it's based on how many people win but I would like to know what formula is used. Thanks.

Is the percentage of picks the first determination on whether you beat the Prick or is it units. I ask because lets say the Prick wins his Monday night pick and moves to 2-1-1 with +0.90 unit.

There are players who went 2-2 and won there best bet. They will have a worse percentage of winning picks but will be up more units. Did they beat the Prick?

IIRC it is ($5000/total qualified units) * Your Units = Payout.

If there are 500 qualifying units, then it is $10/unit. Say you go 4-0, 5.00.....then you'd get $50. If someone else has 3 units....then they'd get $30, etc.
