Not convinced about catching it twice. hospitals crowded maybe... but maybe not with phasing. i am not saying drop all of the measures... phasing has to come quickly though. there have been 1 million cases already in US and they are pretty certain that there are 30 to 80 times more people that have it as an asymptomatic carrier... so about 10%-30% of the population has it already... not so sure the spike at hospitals would be so drastic.Comment -

i agree. highly unlikely an NBA player would die. Of COVID positive people that die nearly all of them have underlying condition. Of those that are not elderly, every single picture i have seen the person has horrible health to begin with... way overweight, mid 50s, begging for a heart attack ... Of those that go on a ventilator, only about 10% live... i am not so sure the hospitals can do a lot anyway.
NBA team has 15 players per roster... so lets say they have 50 staff at a game including refs etc... and 30 teams... 1500 people, nearly all in good health. death rate of of 0.1%, about 1 person might die if the entire league was positive.
i think it is political right now. they dont wanna use up tests when general public can't all get tested.Comment -

The idea of playing in vegqs or disneyworld are dumb, you need at least 50 people to put am NBA game on even without fans and most teams wont be able to practice, youd need minimum 3 weeka jist to get ready to play.Comment -

NBA ,NHL and MLB need to man up and make some kind of decision on the season. We see all the low paid workers going to work every day at all kinds of jobs where they are in close contact with the general public, yet these players think their special and can’t play.
The league needs to give all the players coaches trainers etc a chance to play by signing a waiver of liability and those who won’t sign it can sit out the rest of the season. If they can’t come up with enough players then call the season but man up and do something. It’s time to make a decision one way or the other
