I like the herd immunity strategy that Sweden is doing. Who cares if many die, at least the living can get on with their life. Life is cheap. Nothing from nothing.

From a betting perspective it don't really matter if there's fans or not. I expect NBA will be back no later than September. Trump above everything else is a business man so this is killing him. Many other western countries are also chomping at the bit to lift the lockdown.

NBA should finish the season in China, especially if their government says the CCP virus is under control over there. LBJ and Harden can help in marketing.

You're talking about a multi-billion dollar product. You don't kiss off the money they make just because there's no fans. If they cancel the season I expect they will start up the next one on time.

It will be like the old Orlando summer league games, with just squeaking sneakers and subs from the bench making the noise. In a few weeks it will seem normal. Doubt they play in the famous arenas, rather any old gym they can find. I reckon it will have a certain charm to it ...for a so long

You can bet Silver is terrified of losing the dilettante sports fan. He knows they could very easily turn their attention to other things like Netflix if the NBA is out of their heads for so long. NBA these days is aimed at these people with it's high scoring/ lots of dunking/ 3pt shooting.
