#107This could ultimately be a bust....but props to Drew and willing to experiment.
Good thing is that it’s a short promo so if someone doesn’t like it, they can take a short break and come back for the next promo.Comment -

#111Guys this is about the smallest promo that we have played for. I say make each daily tournament as fast as possible. It really isnt worth playing for more than 80 minutes a day for this promoComment -

Yes, I agree on both counts. I'm glad SBR is open to trying somewhat new things, again generally the only real way to tell if things are good or not is to actually test them. Who knows, the majority might prefer this new format and they might make it permanent/do it more often. Or everyone might hate it and they might switch back. Can only wait and see!
I personally also like having something which is a bit "fresh", having the same daily format day in and day out does get a tad boring, so sure switch it up a bit and see what happens I say.Comment -

So if they do change the minimum buyin, will have to make sure that all the tourneys (including weekend) have minimum payouts which are large enough to allow people who want to rollover to buyin on the tables which typically have players (that is the $0.25/0.50 and $0.5/1 omaha hi/lo tables for most part). I think as long as the payouts are 40+ points that should be fine, if the minimum buyin is 40 BBs, then even those with the smallest tournament payouts can buyin on either of those two standard tables.Comment -

#118Fine idea as well. That said, as is now the dailies have payouts down to 20 points (though Drew implied that might change!), and the weekend events also have similarly small payouts for the last places so that those who want to roll those over have to buy in short.

Obviously just my opinion, but I like the 40 minimum payouts for all events, just condense/add prizes together as needed (paying out fewer places) to make sure all payouts are 40+. Again, it's kind of bother to be rolling over 20 points anyway, and assuming they have 40 BB minimum buyin (compared to 20BBs as it is now), 40 minimum payout would guarantee that with any rollover you can buyin to all the tables with $0.5/$1 blinds or lower which should make it easy to roll over quickly, at least on the weekends!Comment -

#120Well the only tables with that are with hold'em, not omaha. And those rarely have players on them. So yes while that technically might be true, should not imo make it extremely hard for people with those small rollovers to do that, having to sit at one of those tables for awhile and hoping for someone to show up.

#121Only the top 3 should be paid. Something like 400, 200, 100 points. This will speed up the games with more people going for broke.Comment -

My only other suggestion would be to have a tournament each weekend where first prize included a seat in the final.
To give the guys who struggle to play as regularly a chance.
Maybe with a 100 point buyin to make the point prize pool a bit juicy for it too..Comment -

#124Six max will favor the online pros instead of the average joes you hope will come around more to the forum through this marketing.
However, this is a cheap way to gain experience in six max tournaments, something I have limited experience in, so I like it since its not huge stakes. Cheap way to learn the style vs online pros like Crusher.Comment -

Could SBR consider allowing bitcoin purchases with betpoints on a case by case basis for Canadian and International players, if those members can prove that the current Sportsbook Cash options do not work for them?
Obviously SBR prefers members that have the Sportbook Cash option to use that, but in my case, I have pre existing accounts at every book currently available in the store.
Betpoints are worthless to me now. My last working option was the Bodog Sportbook cash and that was removed from the store quite a while ago.
And this is indirectly related to Poker as well, as other players have said they have the same issue, and their participation dropped so much that it negatively affected the last World Cup.Comment -
