I don't even play soccer and I would of scored a goal already. These Aussies are out of shape and lazy.

Some of the Euro imports struggle a bit due it being a Summer league.

But I've been thinking fitness is not a strong capping angle. All teams apart from Wanderers have seemed fit to the end and not show signs of obviously giving up goals late a lot.

Phoenix and Glory do seem to score late very often though. Not sure if that is extra fitness or more just self belief.

Ekonomidis been away for 4 or 5 matches already.

I think Keogh and Castro getting a rest on bench after the busy run they are completing. And looking at lineup it appears a defensive type 11 i guess.

But they have no injuries or suspensions. Coach has full choice of squad. I try to not second guess coach about starters and have only been worrying about who he has and hasn't got available to choose from.

So used to Perth scoring at least 3 in the last 15 mins of games I still can't quite believe it ended scoreless.



I am glad these mid week games are now over for the season now.


But the hangover of these is that Melb Victory and Brisbane are the only teams who did not play midweek.

Sydney airport has a curfew so Sydney FC cannot fly home tonight after their game. Which after the 3 hour flight home will leave them under 2 days on the ground before they have to fly to Melbourne (90 mins) for Saturday's game against Victory.

May as well Grab Victory +130 as I think anything +money is good for them.


Wanderers will be the same. Stuck in Melbourne until Wed morning. Traveling home kills half of that day. Thursday at home and then fly to Brisbane (90 mins) Friday for 7.50pm local time match.

As much as I hate the thought of throwing more good money after bad on Brisbane again, it has to be considered.

Really tough to see anything worth betting.

Wanderers are a definite no go for me with a short break after huge travel the previous week or so, and lots of heartbreak in those games too.

I'm going to pick Brisbane for the record, but think I've thrown enough money away on Roar already this year so it's going to be small.

I like that Brisbane has had this full week off to rain for this game when everyone else has had mid week duties to worry about.


Draw No Bet -110 maybe.

Over 3 -133 seems bit heavily juiced to me.

Over 3.5 +120 same.

Over 4 +210 possibly.

I might try to snag an anytime goal scorer. Have to see starters for that though.



It's in the 90s in Brisbane today.

Roar haven't had a lot of attacking spark but maybe an attacking sub will change things.
