Been waiting for this match all week. Love the odds and the spot for Perth.

Sydney have been up and down so far this year but remain over-valued by the books/public whilst Glory has not missed a beat and performed as expected every round so far.

Perth squad is back to pretty much full strength whilst Sydney dealing with a number of niggling injuries and have named a couple of juniors as promotions to the senior squad.

Wellington Phoenix v Brisbane Roar Under 2.5 +105

In their 16 games so far this season, only once has either team scored over 2 goals.

Wellington defended like champions at home last week v the lowly Mariners. Banking on them repeating that strategy/performance this week.



Sat 3.50am

Melbourne City v Melbourne Victory +125

Both teams have marquee players out. French midfielder Berenguer for City and German defender Niedermeier for Victory but they are close to full strength otherwise.

City beat Victory 2-1 in week 1 but have not looked as strong as the Victory since that time. Form and the need to not lose to City twice should get Victory over the line this time.



Sun 1.00am

Central Coast Mariners v Newcastle Jets +100

Should be a simple winner here. Mariners a terrible team in terrible form. Newcastle have had a very tough draw so far and have been performing well against the top teams whilst not getting the points so their table position does not show their quality.



Wed 3.50am

Adelaide United v Western Sydney Wanderers

I'm leaning Wanders/Draw Double Chance -190 here but will wait to see teams before firing.




Glory +165 is my best bet of the round.

With only 10 teams to cap it feels a lot more predictable. It helps that I have been watching at least 3 of the 5 games each week too.

Betting markets don't seem too sharp to me either. Have seen a few dogs that make me scratch my head. Had a nice hit on Perth last week as a dog away to Newcastle. And Melb City as the dog to Adelaide. A big dog the second one.

Well I take some consolation that Wellington defended as well as expected.

They attacked better than i expected as well though, and Brisbane defense seemed to fall into panic/disarray toward the end and Wellington ran all over them.

I may be under rating Wellington a little bit. Have them near bottom of the league in my personal rankings.



Hopefully get some back on Victory now.

The biggest problem was that they didnt have the same type of post to just replace one set... and the only other pair they had on hand isnt regulation size/construction, so they had to get approval and then change both ends.

I've been taking a 5 leg parlay on all matches early each week, and had City +175 in that, but haven't looked for who's in or out or thought about it more since.

I'd normally think the over was good with those two, but it's been awfully hot here in Sydney for days. A bit of rain has come over for new years eve so it might be cooler tomorrow but if it's up over 90F and humid again dont think I can take a total.

I thought Jets looked lame at home v Glory 3 weeks back, struggled to put Mariners away in local derby and then lose to Adelaide at home this week. When Adelaide didnt really play too well.

Nothing much changed about them in those 3 games that I noticed, and i watched all of them.

roar are just terrible on the road give up lots of goals will likely play newcastle at the -110 price
