Yes absolutely. There is pretty much no reason to ever go for the bottom row except for maybe one toss when u just cleared the second row because as soon as that happens the top row pops back up and is worth triple.

Another tip u may already know is always grab 3 to 4 in ur hands at a time( 1 in the throwing hand the rest in the other) that way u save a lot of wasted time looking down and trying to find one for every throw.

But why are things like airlines going up -- they're in massive debt, they're only going to carry to 60% cacity--at least Delta is--and there are massive layoffs due to decreased demand. So nothing makes sense, numbers wise. Airlines cannot make a profit carrying planes with 60% capacity unless airfare through the roof. There's a reason they squeeze all those seats so damn close together. Cause every seat counts, every penny counts. But I suppose you can throw out all your training if you know about econ, because these stocks are all rigged and it's all controlled based on this upcoming election.

yeah i agree with that...really no reason for stuff like PENN to hit a new 52-week high today, when their casinos/hotels are running at really reduced capacity, and the horse tracks that are running are doing so with no fans

same with airlines... only thing i can say is that alternate investments like treasuries/cds are paying next to nothing, tons of cash out there, fed is buying up the world so the supply/demand has been hugely in favor of stocks... add to that huge short positions in stuff like airlines, those shares have to get bought at some point so that's even more demand on the buy side

but yeah from a rational point of view, an airline stock/cruise stock/hotel should be worth quite a bit less than it was last year

Election night might be a big catalyst one way or the other, again.

Instead of more stimulus from dems, we could see corporate tax hikes. That would put a screw in a lot of this support.

It seems tough to buy in at these levels for a lot of the market

I only want to put 5-10 grand, not much to most guys on here. Thought about that dividend stock Slippy said but no point in making a few hudnred bucks a year. Day trading also not an option for me. JUst wanna let something sit for about 3-6 months and double or triple my money. Worst case break even or lose a G or two.

at this point with the stuff i follow (retail/casinos) it's gonna be pretty tough to get a double from here.. maybe a preferred like pei-c... if they pay the next couple dividends and retailers are paying the rent i see that being 15

i think i would go with some of the smaller stuff though, many others here are better with that than i am, i tag along

Agree, but some stocks will still see rises. These are stocks I would keep an eye on:

1) I know I keep saying it, but GAN and BETZ. They have nowhere to go but up with sports coming back. All sportsbooks should be looked at.
2) Watch Moderna (MRNA). I sold off on it a while back but keep checking the news on it. If they are able to successfully fix their problems and get a vaccine, which Dr. Fauci seems to indicate they will, then it will blast up like a rocket.
3) Southwest (LUV). They haven't seen the gains of AA and , but they should over time. I've always liked Southwest and I think they'll get in on the action soon.
4) Slack (WORK). They've had a huge selloff the last few days. You know what they say...the best time to buy is after a big dip and Slack still has a lot of value, IMO.
5) TTD and NKLA. Two new companies that I think will be big in the coming years. I'm putting a couple grand in each of these and hoping for a blast off. NKLA really is pushing to rival Tesla and have Elon Musk behind them.

Still holding on GCI hoping for a continued spike next week. Other than that, I do think most stocks will see a sell-off. They have to. Our economy is booming too fast, which worries me.

If you want to park your money somewhere until the election, I would be looking at an industrial stock like Boeing (BA), Caterpillar (Cat), Terex (Tex). They all broke out on Friday, so you may have to wait a few days to let them pull back a little but going forward they are some of the stocks that will be needed to continue this narrative of the economy is back and running.

I am also looking at starting to short the stay at home stocks, in fact mid day on Friday, I shorted NFLX with just 10 shares, when it comes down to $393, I plan on hitting it heavier. The market is rotating out of these stocks and going into the banks, industrials, airlines, and other sectors that have been lagging.

Again for the rally to continue in any way until November, they will need the banks to perform so stocks like Goldman will Sack You (GS), JPMorgan (JPM), Citibank (C), are all going to be held up by the Fed.

Then there are the gold miners. This sector has been the leading sector since the Flu Manchew hit in March. Well they are turning over now so the etf (GDX), Yamana Gold (AUY), AngloGold (AU) are all setting up to short. The fed knows they are inflating the dollar like a balloon in a John Wayne Gacy birthday celebration with the kids so they will be doing everything to retard the gold miners and tout the dollar (UUP).

Don’t think you can go wrong with BETZ or GAN. Both should see same gains moving forward. I’m on BETZ but GAN should see same movement.

My long term plays are LUV, TTD, and NKLA. Also ready to jump on MRNA if it dips to 55.

If your looking for some solid dividend stocks, a lot of them have been eaten up, but still many remain to be had. I'm more than likely much older than most of you so im in it for the dividends. I want the slow nickle... These 5 here pay nicely between 5-15% quarterly, except for O pays monthly. JMO...GL.

Here's my #1 lesson regarding Penny Stocks...

Make sure you check the price every minute!!!!

The price can plummet in a heartbeat. Happened the other day with me on xspa. Bought it at 2.45, went up to 2.60. Walked away for five minutes and it was down to 2.05 that fast. Luckily it went back up to where I could sell at 2.40 but you're not always that lucky. It can spiral out of control, though, if you don't keep monitoring it. Can be a huge profit if you get a good tip and play the right one, but it can sink fast, too.

Hold on, im no expert, many here on SBR are more technical about things than i am..In 15 years trading i've learned some lessons. Thats all..Just sharing them with you.

i would take the money and run with hertz

almost 100% of the time, in a bankruptcy the common stock gets totally wiped out... i see that happening here too

i think you have to have a margin account to short anything or play with options... rather than sell a stock short (where you have unlimited possible losses) i would buy "put options" where you still bet on the stock going to 0, but the most you can lose is what you invested

None of my brokerages allow me to do options nor short!

I'm trying to convince my mother and friends who do have the opportunity to short Gamestop for me and send me some of the profits!
