Local news interviewed the girlfriend of one of the guys that gave chase. He called her saying they forced him off the road and were waiting for the cops. Those guys prolly saved some lives if they hadn't done what they did. The shooter could have gone on and killed even more peeps

#247Just reported on the local news. Holy Cow, one of the guys that chased the shooter in his truck actually ran to the church and tackled the guy when he came out of the church and took away one of his guns. The shooter got away and drove off with the citizen on his tail before he and another citizen forced him off the road.Comment -

Then you have drug abusers that lose their mind on meth or other drugs, paranoid, see things and hear things that aren't real and snap also... I guess that falls under mental illness...

#253being a hardcore A&M fan and graduate, I never hesitate to take a dig at those queers over in Austin, and have to say all of this goes back to the original f'n mass shooter, that f'n t-sip charlie whitman......
seen here portrayed by everyone's favorite actor, Cash of "tango and cash", shooting up the LSU Campus from the "deadly tower" over in baton rouge -- which had to be used to film the movie of whitman's antics since the t-sips were a bit sensitive on the issue of letting the movie crew use the actual "deadly tower" there in austin (wonder why):
perhaps we should blame the liberal Disney corporation, as they made kurt go insane by having him play all those zany f'd up characters in their movies in the sixties/early seventies, before he scaled the deadly tower and started shooting up fellow t-sips......
yep, it all started in austin.....
no surprise there.....Comment -

#258actually, tho i crack on it due to being an aggie, I got my law degree there (lived there from 87-90 during law school), and moved back there from newport beach in 1992, and was there between 92-2000, and actually love the city.....
great place, some of my fondest memories are from my two stints there.....
and if you're ever there, you have to go to the original chuy's and shady grove right near it, and have the queso fried catfish at the latter along with six or seven "shady things" -- a drink akin to a frozen margarita, and their twice baked potato..... shit is to die for.....Comment -

it's the high capacity clip that makes it lethal and a definite problem.....
as a gun owner, I have no problem banning any clip with more than five/six round capacity...... maybe up to ten rounds being legal, but after that, fuk em.... outlaw em all and make it a mandatory 2yr sentence to possess one, with no "good time" credits.....
same for bumpstocks (or any other conversion device that turns semi's into fully's), except perhaps make it 4 years mandatory, no credits....Comment -

#263The full moon thing seems to run in my family, and seemingly others. I could explain why this guy did it, but I don't need Mayan actually calling the FBI. Though, they could use my help. The mental illness thing is no joke. I could have been, and wanted to be one of these fckin fools 10-15 years ago. I'm already on the list probably, so fck it.Comment -

How many bullets did Timothy McVeigh fire in his massacre? I'll give you a hint, it's less than 1.
But keep going after the guns, because nobody ever uses other means to commit a mass attack if they don't want to. It's not like anyone ever used a truck in Europe to plow down mass groups of people.Comment -

#265Agreed, but assault rifles just give the nut jobs more fire power.. Ban em I say.. Military use only... Can't dodge bullets coming out of an AK or AR rapid firing....Comment -

1. awesome
2. very well
3. i had a rule about classmates in law school... hands off... much preferred the single undergrads and single young professionals in austin to fellow nerdy law students..... I made one exception.... and I should do as I did with a grad student babe I was nailing, I showed her the section photo (125 students) that contained the exception, and asked her to pick out said exception among the 75-80 females in that photo.....
she immediately picked the exception.... I'm sure you would too....
4. of course.... john wayne no. 1 (after my grandfather on my mom's side), nolan ryan once he became an astro, for a time staubach, and the ice man george gervin.... later, earl campbell of course.....
how the fuk can this guy not be the hero of a boy growing up in corpus:

Black= Judge them all by the actions of the worst one, you're a racist
Mexican= Judge them all by the actions of the worst one, you're a racist
White with conservative leanings= FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S HOLY JUDGE THEM ALL BY THE WORST ONE! EXPLOIT THIS AND CAUSE THEM TO LOSE INFLUENCE IN THE COURT OF PUBLIC OPINION! BAN GUNS! THE 2ND AMENDMENT APPLIES ONLY TO MUSKETS AND ONLY MEANS THAT THE MILITIA CAN HAVE GUNS, AVERAGE PEOPLE CAN'TComment -

that's a tad bit small compared to what I shoot (7 mm mag)....:
ps... my sons both started shooting .243's when they were 8......
.223's are a small pussy cartridge designed merely to WOUND soldiers (thereby incapacitating 3 enemy combatants -- 1 wounded, 2 to drag him to safety) -- instead of merely one dead..... it's also a good target shooting round (cheaper than the bombers I use, which cost 2x-3x as much as .223 cartridges) and is decent for coyote/hog (if head shot) eradication......Comment -

Not at all. AR-15 are great for hunting white tail deer, they're great for follow up shots, and sometimes hogs, which can weigh over 500 pounds, travel in packs and don't have the best attitude. They cause over 1 billion in damage to property every year, and like I wrote above, AR-15s are the best guns for home defense.Comment -

#280And if you miss, it goes through a multiple walls and could kill innocent people in other rooms or homes. 55 grain .223 doesn't have that problem.Comment
