When the gunman stops shooting for 10 to 15 seconds. He is either reloading or switching guns. There is time to run. I would not be a stationary target on the ground waiting. I would be a moving target and run for it as well get other people to run.

I just arrived home from Las Vegas. Saw/heard some of the attack from my room, later at Excalibur ended up running in a stampede before getting stuck in their lockdown for 5 hours. What a weekend.

I am all for guns. We have a gun in every room in our house including the bathroom since it is the one place where you could potentially be at your most vulnerable. But IMO, there is no need to own an assault rifle. I feel they should be illegal. When has anyone had to defend their family, home, or property with an assault rifle? My wife's brother is a professional competitive shooter and recently bought my wife an AR-15.

I know we'll never actually have a purpose for this in our home and it just seems silly.

You have to wonder if these types of weapons were available back in the late 1700's if this Amendment would exist today. When was the last time that someone went on a shooting spree with a Blunderbuss?

Back in the day we had a term for someone like this, it was called crazy. Now a Days, everyone thinks their eyes are open and they can see the truth, so conspiracy theories abound. Some people can’t process such an event, can’t conceive how it was possible this all happened so they begin coming up with their own set of al facts to fill in the blanks that seem to make sense to them.

Reality is some 64 year old man bought a shit ton of guns and ammo, snuck them to his room in bags and no one paid any attention to him as he did it, but he already knew no one would pay any attention to him, that’s why he did it the way he did. Then he knocked out windows with that small sledge, and began firing.

The patsy wasn't alive when the first shots rang into the crowd, he was killed with a suicide blow timed with the bursts. There were probably two operatives involved, dressed in ordinary clothing and could easily slip away during the confusion even with all the cameras on the property. The NRA have to keep a small circle for the conspiracy, maybe a couple well placed govt officials, a couple of law enforcement officials that can help steer the investigation if needed.

There will be public outrage and a call for gun restrictions, 2nd amendment defenders will again rush to buy guns/ammo in fear of coming restrictions and others will think about a gun for protection, after all, that was some ordinary guy and it could happen anytime. The NRA will get plenty of on air time defending the public's right to bear arms. There may be some small localized restrictions, but in the end the 2nd amendment and gun industry will win.

funny you should mention this, as I just transferred over $10,000 from a money market account to my checking account, to go pick up 10 bump stocks, 50,000 rounds of ammo, 50 more 100-round banana clips, more AR's that are compatible with the bump stocks (before all of the foregoing are banned), and an array of sexy cammo bikinis for the wife to wear on our shooting excursions......

Make a joke out of it, but when everyone was afraid Obama was gonna ban assault rifles... several friends of mine purchased them simply because they thought they would soon be banned. People I never thought would do that. Gun sales were through the roof.
