i actually have a small bit invested into ripple XRP and have been extremely underwhelmed
i like the technology, but in todays society the tech isnt everything

well see , i would be happy to see if youre right , but i will not hold my breath... other coins i like a lot more

I bought a lot of Ripple in 2013 and sold before the huge price jump.

I think the next coin that could be life changing is IOTA, although obviously a long shot. IOTA uses Tangle technology rather than Blockchain.

Any opinion on MonaCoin? It's the "Japanese" version of Bitcoin! Was only .02 cents a few months ago and now skyrocketed to $8.08 at the moment. Think this coin has amazing potential and it's just starting.

a lot of similarities to bitcoin but its the silver to bitcoin being gold... its sustainable, but not going to be as profitable...wishful thinking to see it anywhere over $200, 150 is the ceiling I see.

Anyone here with an opinion/experience with Binance? My "let it ride" btc is in GDAX, but I have a little I'd like to play with. Verified at Bittrex, want to try Monero, maybe a little Ripple. But they don't offer IOTA, while Binance has all three. All opinions welcome.

I'm just curious if anyone has an answer to this. Many precious metal dealers are now accepting Bitcoin. If I buy Gold Coins and/or bars with Bitcoin and put my Gold aside, am I subject to taxation on my Gold down the road?

That's why IOTA is different than everything else. The Tangle could be the next step past Blockchain kind of like Facebook was to Myspace. Here's to it going huge

From my understanding it is not subject to taxation. You shouldn't have to deal with taxes unless it crosses into fiat currency at some point. Bitcoin is considered a commodity still, not a currency. So it's like fine art or a nice case of wine. It would be kind of like if I traded you a piece of art for your bottle of wine.
I recently inquired to my tax guy about selling a property in Belize for bitcoin and then using that bitcoin to buy a comparable house in the US. He said he did not see a reason that I would be taxed on either transaction.
It is apparently a great way to get around capital gains.
Obviously I am not an expert and could be wrong though...
