still alive with my two fight parlay, line has risen quite a bit at most shops, found Andre Ward at -280 so I will be on that as well. Most the people I know love miranda in this fight but there is just too much disparity in boxing skills in this one, Miranda will be his toughest fight to date, guy only looks to brawl and is known as a dirty fighter, Ward in a recent interview said he wasnt going to look to run and would like to do most of his work on the inside which may not be the smartest thing against a brawler but Ward does throw his hardest punches when breaking out of the clinch so an early round ko wouldnt suprise me

also adding the under 9.5 rounds as a much smaller play, Miranda will be looking for the knock out the entire fight which in turn will leave him exposed for a knock out in each and every round, guy is as wreckless as they come, and against a gold medalist with the precise punches Andre Ward throws, Miranda is sure to take some clean shots right on the chin

im gonna take +270 Miranda Andre Ward really havent fought in my opinion a C fighter Miranda got KOd twice by the top fighters around his division but Miranda have fought alot of decent fighters and hurt Pavlik at one point lost a close decision to Abraham and had a UD against Alan Green this might look like Amir Khan vs Prescott like Ward Khan hasnt fought anybody and for some reason he got rushed into a fight versus a very big puncher and got KOd

miranda seems to be a shot fighter imo, punches too slow and guy has never really been exposed by a true boxer like ward, guy squares his body up way to much when he throws always leaving himself open to the over hand right, which is one punch ward has mastered, I agree he hasnt fought anybody but the wins that miranda has are not all that great either,Alan Green had serious health problems in their fight if I remember correctly, I predict the over hand right will be the key in Andres win, not saying he will knock him out with it but it will be enough to keep miranda at bay and allow ward to box his way through the fight, he has a beautiful right hand, check it in this clip, end of round 8

even I am a bit shocked to see how much the line has risen, I expected miranda to take pleny of action in this fight, line is as high as -345, around the pac man fight -270 was available everywhere

parlay is dead, **** that piece of shit nover and all the hype dana was giving him, I have a play on cintron +250 against angula, now angula is the better fighter but will be way too easy to hit for cintron, Cintron has enough power to pull the trigger on a +250 k.o upset, He tends to mentally break down in the later rounds so I probably need the k.o in the first 7

hey, i want to start paying some more love to boxing. What are some good sites I can check records and something like bestfightodds, that will track lines for me?

I personally think that nover fight was set up. You have an extremely popular fighter from TUF show who everyone is anxious to see but he is on the undercard... and ref stops the fight early.

yeah man boxing can be an easy sport to beat at times, occassionly some real weak lines on the espn friday night fights, I find it a bit easier to handicap than mma,

i'm taking berto over urango this saturday. he's naturally bigger, way faster and more skilled. coming off the collazo fight, this should be a showcase fight for berto. urango only has a puncher's chance.

agree I will probably jump on him as well, hope the price comes down a bit but not so sure it will, berto does get careless at times, been down on the canvas twice I think but always recovers quick, I think he knows this is his biggest test and will look to box more than usual, if he does that we should see a flawless victory

I think theres a good chance Urango will knock out Berto. I think if you take Berto it wouldn't be a bad idea to also put a small play on Urango KO win.

I have insider info that Urango stopped throwing punches after round 6 in that Hatton fight because he thought "God would give him the fight". If you watched that fight Urango would keep putting his hands up after each round because he really felt that "god would give him the win".

, biggest problem will be Urangos speed, guy is just too slow, wouldn't rule out a Urango k.o but if it doesnt happen in the first 5 rounds I wouldnt be to confident, Urango not a guy who carries his power well into the later rounds, compound that with the high pace Berto fights at and you are going to notice a lot more weary lack luster punches as the fight slowly progresses

Stylisticly not the best matchup for Cintron, Angulo has a similiar style to Antonio Margarito, which happens to be the only fighter to ever beat Cintron, value is with Cintron though, If he comes to box and looks to set up his shot I have this fight much closer to 60-40 for angulo, guy has fought nobody in his career and is very easy to hit, not sure how cinton's power will carry into this fight because he is moving up in weight, If Cintron comes out looking to brawl it will be an early night but if he looks to box more in this one which I think he will this fight should be more competitive than the line would have you believe

Thanks for the write-up. I'm going for it - assuming that Argulo doesn't have Margarito's granite chin (a fact confirmed by Graham Houston), Cintron's power should be sufficient to give him trouble.

                                                Go Kermit!

great article you posted, two quotes I think are very note worthy from Cintron's trainer,

“We’re going to make it a very difficult night for him,” Cintron’s trainer, Ronnie Shields, said over the phone from his gym in Houston. “We know he’s a good fighter and he keeps coming, but Kermit’s got to keep his head and box Angulo, he can’t go out there and just go toe-to-toe with him. I think Kermit is just as strong as Angulo, probably even stronger, and he does have that big right hand. We’re working on combinations and not just looking for one shot on this guy because he throws a lot of punches and if you just throw one shot you’re liable to get hit with something

“This is my third fight with Kermit. It’s always hard when you just start working with a guy and you try to get him to fight the style you think he should be fighting, but he’s finally starting to get it that he has to throw combinations, you can’t be a one-shot kinda guy, and he’s getting it. It’s all coming together.”

I look at the Margarito fights as a blessing in disguise, pretty sure his refusal to box against stronger opponnets was just a mental hurdle that he had to get over, Now he knows he has no way to win unless he stays on the outside and looks to set up his big shots, in the end Angulo may just prove to be too relentless but I think we see a good fight tonight either way

ahh shit, looks like the Klitchko fight has been called off, too bad looked like some easy cash, oh well on to the Miguel cotto vs josh clottey fight,This is going to be a good one, a much closer fight than the the line indicates, squares are pounding the shit out of cotto, I see him -400 at some places, Clottey is known as a very defensive counter striker, breaks his opponents down and slowly starts to dominate fights the longer they go. He is not a very big puncher but Cotto has a very overrated chin and has been exposed by a lot lesser fighters that clottey, look for clottey to body cotto up, work his stiff jab, and slowly pick him apart, Cotto may have to knock this guy out which is bad news for him because you could easily make the argument that Clottey has the best chin in boxing, maybe its the oblong head, not sure why but guy is tough to rock let alone get knocked out, The play is JOSHUA CLOTTEY +265
