They said the two rifles used at the shooting scene were registered not to him but by another name so apparently he broke the 2011 law of undisclosed sales to anyone other than family unless state/fed registered gun salesman.

I was surprised when I heard there were more than 300 mass shootings in the U.S. this year today. I did a little looking and found out the source quoted for those numbers is by a site made by a couple of posters on Reddit and not FBI statistics. The FBI counts a mass shooting as 'four or more individuals die, excluding the shooter, in a specific incident' whereas the hundreds being reported on the news this week defines a mass shooting as 'four or more people being hit by a bullet or ricochet material -not killed- in an incident' which explains a lot considering all of the robberies and street violence that goes on in a nations of several hundred million people. I am not condoning any of it, simply hoping everyone understands all of the news sound bites that are coming out of this San Bernadino attack.

It's an ongoing investigation at this point, no one likely knows yet what the motive was
