Unfortunately, that truth seems to be missed... and helpful info/insights/suggestions by members get summarily dismissed as complaints/complainers. That's unfortunate, as well.
The above S.D. tourney clarification was necessary, and first brought to attention by a member (as previous things have similarly been).
Only an idiot wants an antagonistic relationship w/staffers on a site they like/enjoy & frequent; normal members *want* to like/respect staffers. But, it's a 2-way street. Members need to feel it's reciprocated. Being constantly ignored by staffers isn't a good recipe for engendering warm & fuzzies from the customer -- rather, it fosters frustration and resentment... which will obviously manifest in posts.Comment -

Bottom line: When the customer is consistently IGNORED (hell, not even the courtesy of a response 99% of time)... the responsibility for creating the atmosphere of dissatisfaction falls on SBR.
Do a search of how many posts had to be made before the right thing was *finally* done in the last poker series (re: multi tourney angle shooters). SBR & "Dougie" had to be DRAGGED to do the right thing there; left to them, they were content to do... *drumroll*... NADA.
The community learned (many already knew) that you have to yell & scream around here oft times just to get afforded the courtesy of a response.
Obviously some are just whiners, but many examples can be found of solid SBR posters making contributing solid input(various topics)... only to be totally ignored.
I heart ya mate, but the fact is you're an employee of SBR... not exactly an objective observer.

You gloss right over the stone cold fact that SBR had to be dragged to take action against peeps compromising a 4k+ contest (call me crazy, but I think that's a pretty big deal; maintaining contest(s) integrity should be high priority for SBR. Most would agree w/ that.)

I, in point of fact, have never posted about that issue, but: 1) It's a legitimate issue as it affects blind structure timing on SBR and 2) the only reason it's been brought up many times by various peeps is b/c... *drumroll*... it always gets ignored (which was my salient point in my supposed "weak" post).
Jake and others pointing out that there should be some difference between those that finish at the top of a leaderboard in a months long contest and the 50th guy is not "complaining"; in fact, it's constructive criticism.
Various other respected peeps chiming in with thoughts about a better payout structure (within SBR limits) is not "complaining"; in fact, it's constructive criticism.(and downsouth even asked for ideas to present)
Wanting angle shooters and cheats removed from contests, then the poker community getting upset when SBR does nothing about it and is content to let the cheats continue on their merry way... well, the subsequent yelling & screaming (only way to garner SBR attention) is not "complaining"; in fact, it's constructive criticism.
I could go on...
BUT... with all this "complaining" the community supposedly does, it should be very easy to present your (implied) case: I challenge you now to offer up (in form of links) all the *legitimate*, unfair complaints SBR is supposedly bombarded with from the poker community.

You got it right that it's best to just 'ignore' the constant never ending complaining. The last 3 times I've offered an opinion I've been told what I think matters not as I am obviously biased simply because of my part time job here.
What chance does any admin poster have of a constructive discussion about this with you guys?

To you & SBR(apparently), if the poker community gets upset that no leaderboard is posted -- for a friggin contest! -- and voices that(lot of Dougie issues w/that): we're complainers. If we continue to voice our displeasure that we've asked for a simple leaderboard and none still shows up: we're even worse complainers. If the poker community voices a dissatisfaction with the unannounced restructuring of the payouts sprung upon them and wants to discuss possible alternatives: we're whiners (even though mod ds solicited opinions for potential better ways).
Take it to the bank: one of the biggest frustrations SBR posters have is the lack of communication from SBR (especially when changes are made).
So... just a few more examples; still others listed in my last post (cheaters' accountability, etc.). None addressed/countered.

Whatever excuse there is for the negativity. No matter how much SBR is to blame for these perceived deficiencies. The end result is unpleasant right now. Let's do what we can to change that. The hand for hand is a piss ant silly problem. It isn't going to be fixed any faster no matter how many times it's mentioned, and talk about flogging a dead horse over it. It isn't a big enough problem to justify the anger. It's just embarrassing for SBR more than anything.
As we have discussed privately it's too difficult to police all the stuff you want policed the way things are currently. I don't have a good answer for that. I can't see a fair way it can be done without investment in software tools and a full time poker expert to monitor things. Personally I'd prefer to put up with how things are and have that money go into poker prizes.
As far as Doug not doing his job well enough. Yes I want a regular leaderboard but I would never rip into my host over why they cant do everything I want when I want for this free contest. As a poker player here I was ashamed of the way our community treated him, whoever you think he really was. And it was from the word go on the first or second day it started.
Yes you are right that you did address my points. And no disrespect intended by not gathering proof and what not you ask for. Yes it's often the rigtards but as SharpAngles demonstrated above, the regular folk get into it too. A lot more than you notice I think..Comment -
