I love this. Tacomax stayed up all night posting to prove he is not Ganchrow. I have basically messed up one or two people's sleeping patterns depending on which conspiracy theory you believe.

That just addresses the basic question of why certain unfortunate people might use ghosts. It doesn't address the question of why deploy an imposter at the bash. There are all kinds of ghosts around forums - created for that approximate reason and others; they don't deploy imposters to make personal appearances.

Some much bigger agenda would have to be at work to go to that trouble. Humans are being flown around the continent for this. I get visions of the imposter being kept in a locked room for weeks, being forced to read all the posts of his doppelganger over and over so he doesn't get tripped up if questions come up.

This goes far beyond the standard jjgoldish ghosting out of neediness. This needs an agenda.
