There are Administrators, who have access to all forums and categories, and there are Moderators who are permitted access when an Administrator allows them permission to the specific forum. Admins also have the ability to create private groups (say, for Moderators) and hide it from the rest of the board so that it doesn't appear on the index page. If imgv was able to see anything in the Moderator forum, he would have had to log in as the specific moderator who had access to that section of the board.

Why do I know this? Because I am an Administrator of a message board.

Both don't post for 24 hrs and surprise, surprise their first post for the day is on the same thread 2 min apart at 6:00 am. Very common and happens all the time especially when one lives in Costa Rica and the other one in Canada.

Good point, but since I was up until 7am this morning, my post at 6am was one of the last of the day for me. I've now just woken up so this is one of the first posts of the day for me.
