#36I understand. Both players are more likely to get dealt in the offseason. The Penguins will know where they stand with their UFA's, and Lombardi will have a chance to negotiate with Frolov.Comment -

#37Originally posted by element1286I thought a deal like this would be fair for both teams.
Pens get: Frolov and Derek Armstrong.
Kings get: Staal and Kennedy.
Your thoughts??
Armstrong sucks. That trade looks lopsided to me.Comment -

#38Dave I started an official NHL trade deadline thread first thing this morning. How dare you steal my thunder!!!Originally posted by VegasDaveAnyone else watching the trade deadline feed?

#39Armstrong does suck, he's my least favorite King, but what has Kennedy done in his career? The Kings have plenty of 3rd/4th line type of guys, swapping one for another doesn't help them at all.Originally posted by blittydeuceArmstrong sucks. That trade looks lopsided to me.Comment -

#40Darcy Regier should be fired for giving an injury prone player this much money. The guy never played a full season in about 5 years and his numbers never were spectacular.Originally posted by BuffaloBettorGlad to see the Sabres resigned Connolly...Just hope he can stay healthy now..Comment -

1 more hour to go, but often trades are submitted and not posted until after the deadline.

#47Leafs better dumb Antro and Moore for some picks.
Toskala is going under the knife. I knew his injury required surgery. The guy is tough. He faced 50 shots last night. I think Burkie should give him an extension for sticking it out so long.Comment -

#48He is also a GREAT character guy, one of the best, is a great influence on the younger kids.Originally posted by element1286Armstrong is decent on faceoffs, something the Pens sorely need.
Make no mistake about it though, he's a flat out awful hockey player. Takes stupid penalties all the time. He's not talented enough to be a Top 6 guy, and not fast or gritty enough to be a bottom 6 guy. He is by and large just a waste of space out there. You really don't want him.Comment -

#49I always thought Toskala got a raw deal in Toronto. He hasn't played well, but he hasn't had much help at all the past few years, and when he was acquired was a pretty good goaltender.Originally posted by PuckOffLeafs better dumb Antro and Moore for some picks.

#52I haven't seen him play much. But I was thinking fourth line center, who takes big draws. But if he can't skate thats a huge negative.Originally posted by VegasDaveHe is also a GREAT character guy, one of the best, is a great influence on the younger kids.

Trust me, even if he is solid on face-offs, you certainly don't want him out there when the game is on the line.Comment -

#55Hasn't played well this year for sure. Last year he had decent numbers for a pretty shytty team. 2.74 gaa, .904S%. Toskala would be an all star goalie on any top 10 team.Originally posted by element1286I always thought Toskala got a raw deal in Toronto.
