mir is so bad at wrestling and generally unathletic. there is almost no chance for him to take down cormier. if mir started the fight deep on a single, or a body lock or whatever, he still wouldnt be able to take cormier down.

do you guys think cormier will use his wrestling ability to take down frank? I think he will. He probably wont play on the ground unless he has mir rocked, but he will dump frank over and over again. box the shit out of mir, throw him to the ground when he gets too close, and let him stand back up.

Its like the GSP/Diaz fight. People here were actually BETTING NICK DIAZ to win, and shockingly the books only had gsp in the -500 range despite the fact that he was literally one of the worst style matchups possible for your opponent.

This is not stick and ball sports, occasionally betting the chalk is a very good idea, barring a freak submission Frank Mir is going to be ruined in this fight.

I will add to this, the fact is, the last several Fox shows have been designed to put over new talent. They are matching up new talent who are not well known in the public against outrageously easy style matchups on the main card, that is the whole point of these cards, they are trying to build new PPV stars.

Very bad idea to bet on Mir. Even with the help of Team Jackson, it will not be enough to beat Cormier. I think we will see the best Frank Mir we have ever seen. However, It will not be enough. My picks are the following: Huge JoBe/Mendes/Cormier, Medium JoBe/Mendes/Bendo, small JoBe/Mendes/Thomson, tiny JoBe/Mendes/Mein, tiny JoBe/Mendes/Jury. Good Luck to all!
