I hope he drops to 135 I think he would have a better chance against barao. But if aldo wasn't clearly holding on the fence for dear life who knows what would've happened

Lets get him in there with a decent FW before he calls out Aldo. I know his opponents keep getting inured but come on.
But good hit tho BigDay!

Then there's been a bunch of guys who have gotten mysteriously injured just weeks out of a fight so (i) they can't be penalized for outright ducking a fighter by refusing to sign the bout agreement (guys have been cut lately for ducking, like Rich Attonito refusing to fight Gunnar Nelson on late notice) and (ii) by pulling out just several weeks from a fight, the UFC has enough time to find a late replacement instead of scrapping it and rebooking it. The UFC tries to bury Clay Guida to punish him for an atrocious L&P display and he slithers out of it.
Mendes has NOTHING left to prove. He'd smash any contender at 145. He deserves a rematch with Aldo.

I honestly had no intentions of pissing the guy off. Chad mentioned in a recent interview how he doesn't have to cut to make 145 and said he'd consider bantamweight which I honestly think he'd have an easier path to the title. But he's still the only FW that has a shot at Aldo

I mentioned how he is unlucky with injury.
Since ALdo, I'm just saying get him in there with a guy that would get him that shot. Can't do anything about the injuries, but it'd be cool to beat a real top 10 in order to get that shot. At least an opponent he won't be -600 against. A Dennis Siver kind of guy.

Don't worry about it. MD is full of himself and quite a spazzy little dude.
Because he spends 15 hours a day here he believes his opinions hold most "value".
Because you had an opinion but aren't part of the regulars like the old men at a Legion Club, you aren't allowed to talk. Tell MD he is the best before he goes off for 2 pages telling you how he is the best and puts in work.
He probably has to go alpha on a mma forum, in order to make up for real life.

I think he beats everyone at FW not named Edgar, Aldo, or Pettis. But I still think he should beat another contender in order to get a shot at Aldo. Not just a bunch of guys. Elkins is ok, but offered nothing for him.

Mendes would lay all over Pettis. Worse wrestlers have been able to do it pretty easily. Mendes is ten times the wrestler Guida is, and has much better stand-up.
That being said, Pettis is a bit too smart for Aldo, though I think Aldo is athletic enough to keep it varied, throw in some takedowns at times and win a decision. Toughest possible fight for Aldo at 145 or 155 though, his entire game is based around abusing people who shoot for takedowns, which Pettis never will.

I agree with everything you said.
I have Pettis over Aldo and Mendes over Pettis.
