I feel terrible that I made the Lakers/Spurs my POD. Something funny happened in that game.....I have only read a number of write ups, etc, but the Spurs didn't want the game, that is clear. There was a clear case to be made that they would come out firing....but they clearly didn't.

I just cannot imagine Pop giving his team 'lay down' instructions, so in my mind the only way this happened is that TP decided to lose this game. Maybe somebody knew that.....I mean, hell....the public money was on the Spurs and yet the line was dropping.....

I should have stayed away....and I am sorry.

Very weird game. Can't really cap Steve Effing Blake going for a 23/5/4 line and TP having as many turnovers as points. Bizarre.

I was on the Spurs, too. I ignored the "1st Game without Superstar" angle, the dropping line, and all the red flags. Sometimes, we're blinded by confidence.

It didn't help that Popovich benched Parker for the critical minutes in the 4th.

Oh well, sports betting is a marathon, not a sprint. You're gonna lose a POD once in a while, D2D.

EDIT: At least you weren't on the Reds! Up 5-0 going into the 7th, up 6-4 going into the 8th, lose 7-10.

It's nothing to be sorry about. I watched that game and it was competitive until halftime after that Pop definitely gave them lay down instructions. Tony Parker had a bad shooting night and that is understandable because Gasol also had a bad shooting night but Dantoni never took Gasol out he let him play. Halfway through the third out of nowhere the Spurs started to intentionally foul Howard and I'm not talking about bench players I'm talking about starters so he was putting his starters in foul trouble because he did not care. Another thing I noticed is Pop is the master of adjustments he saw the Lakers guard run baseline underneath the basket and kick out the whole game and he never drew up a play to stop it he allowed them to have open shots and the Lakers hit them. I too thought they would come out and compete because they still had a chance at the number one seed. Oh well no use in crying over spilled milk what's done is done, but don't be sorry for the pick because you have blessed us with plenty of great pick. Plenty!

With regards to the Lakers I don't think we can discount them, Dwight hitting his stride, Blake playing well, and Steve Nash should be returning very soon. Those 3 could make a solid combination to round out the end of the season.

I was completely onboard with them melting down with the loss of Kobe but it seems we were all wrong.

I dont really like to comment on post when people lose.. I stayed away from that laker game because the way I look at sports is money and marketing. No one wants to see the Jazz in the playoffs..I always play the scenario which makes sense..Lakers basically never miss the playoffs..if they lose that game they pretty much are out, so thats pretty much what you were betting here.. Now that was the key game..im looking to fade the Lakers heavy against the rockets..thats where you will see the loss of kobe.. The jazz want to see themselves in the playoffs haha I could see tomorrow vs Memphis as a better spot to fade them. I see a huge hockey card tonight for you d2d I mostly follow all your hockey plays, only one I don't really like for tonight is your pick on the coyotes, probably tailing the rest. A teaser is the same as a parlay except you shave points in the direction of your favor at reduced odds. Even with the big 3 out they still should take the Cav's though??

I think you know I was on Miami every time they sat their big players....tonight will be different. They have everything locked, they aren't playing for the best record ever or anything either. The public will be all over Miami after their past few performances without the big three.....tonight they may just play their D league talent.

The Knicks will not start enough talent to score much. Carmelo out, JR smith will probbly barely play.....this game could go over but only if these bums hit their shots. A lot of guys will be showcasing for next year on both teams, but I just don't have enough info or a feeling either way.

The Denver game....should, in principal go OVER....way over in fact, BUT there is something I don't trust about it. Without Jennings and Saunders the Bucks have given up on the regular season....nothing to play for in the least and they are a team that continually shows me that they have no shame.

Honestly, I lean underin the first and over in the second, but both are a NO PLAY for me.

PS, POD is the Washington Nationals at Miami -1 run....should run at about -140. A lot of juice for a -1 game, but after being swept and with Miami's mosquito-like offense, this should come through.

Teaser is a parlay, but the odds are greatly reduced as you are teasing the spread off the original number to a more easily "attainable" number. eg) MEM is -3.5 but in a 4 pt "teaser" they would be +.5 - get it?

PK = pick'em = neither team is favored... So if you had an opening line of -4 and teased it in a 4-pt teaser, the new line would be "PK"

No i mean it will workout to where La make the playoffs..I think the spurs game decided it..because I think the Jazz will win against minnesota and lose the last game to memphis..Memphis is still playing for home court in the 1st round against the clippers which they def want because of how last year ended.. that being said the Lakers could match up with the Spurs because parker wasnt 100% so the spurs become slower...how are the lakers suppose to keep up with the bearded one and that run and gun team with gasol and howard out there? I cannot be sure....

I know that the Nuggets want this game, but if you compare their road record (quite tragic) and the Bucks home record (somewhat ok) I think you have your answer. Just based on those stats, technically the Bucks should be favoured, but of course the public will love the Nugs.

ALSO, the Nuggets have lost Gallinari AND Faried. Faried is the greatest energy player and gets them going....without him you are relying on players that just won`t be as into the game. Will the Nuggets win, I am almost sure of that.....will they cover the points, I have my doubts.

Also, I do not consider my SU bet a POD....I laid $220 for only $100....a $100 return will never be labeled a POD. I won`t embelish my wonéloss record by including a bunch of those games....(I know I had one early in the process, but to be sure it is almost like cheating....anyone can run 60% if they pick big faves.....
