A rough start to the day.....the Cubs decided to go for 4 runs in the 1st inning against Lincecum in our UNDER 10, and ATL is killing the Nats. Also, the Jays game has been well pitched and I doubt it gets over 8.5.
I am not going to react to it, not going to push or chase and just see where the day goes.
As we only have a small number of bets out there and no major plays, no matter what happens we should be in decent shape.

It all has to do with the line. Sometimes I LOVE a team, and I think they will win by more than 1, but sometimes I am right on the game but they give up a few late runs or win it in extra innings....at -1.5 those games are a loss, so I like that -1 I can at least book it as a push.
It is all personal preferences and usually has to do with the line....I do play it many different ways though depending on the situation.Comment -

Ok, things have changed up a little......we now have a POD! The line has moved here and we are paying less juice as well.....San Antone is going to want to knock the Lakers out here. I think the Lakers will keep this close for the first 3 Quarters, but after that Howard's foul trouble, added to missing Kobe, added to Tony Parker back at full strength....this is going to be a statement game and I liked it at -5, but I love it at -4.5.

D2D, Can u please share with me your thoughts on the total in Rockets game tonight? I lean over myself for a few different reasons and have watched the line move up all day. I expect the rockets to come out hard after their last performance and I expect the same from the queens. Is their something i'm seriously missing here?Comment -

If both of your statements were correct, then it makes sense to me. The public is on the same side as you....the line continues to rise and continues to make any bet you make tougher.
I lean UNDER here, not just because I am a contrarian, but because:
HOU needs this game.....they want to move up a seed and they must realize that their 16-23 road record is mostly because they play shoot em up. If they want to come out and win this game their best game plan will be to play a little defense.
SAC is done....emotionally and mentally they are in the off-season already. If HOU plays any defense this game will go under 210.
EDIT: Prediction is 107-93 Houston
Again, these are my thoughts on the game.....I am not saying that any of this is set in stone, and this game is listed as a NO PLAY for me because it is just not clear enough for me.Comment -

I, like an idiot, made the Jays/Royals game an unofficial POD earlier so I'm trying to dig myself out of that hole, Miami crushing it took 50% of the sting now if the Spurs can crush it tonight then it will offset the jays/royals over play and lead me to green, GO SPURS!Comment -

I'm kicking myself for not following another great capper and doing Blackhawks for 2 units. But seems every time I do they lose and when I don't they win. Ok guys, lol...settle down. The Lakers are moving because people are thinking the opposite as we are.....we all know that the Lakers will come out swinging with everything they have, AND I think that people are afraid that POP will sit guys.....I do not think that will happen. If Parker doesn't play (I htink he will insist upon it) then we are in trouble and probably only 35-40% to cover.
I would normally hit this again at -4, BUT, I am satisfied with my action at this point. If people do not have this game they should feel quite good at -4.

Also...expect the Lakers to be within a few point at the close of the third quarter, that is if they aren't winning. When SA takes a 5-7point lead in the 4th quarter the Lakers will press, and without Kobe pressing is a negative.....do you want Meeks jacking up 3 balls under pressure of not making the post season without Kobe standing next to him?

Nice background story, D2D. As one who also got their PHD (pool hall diploma), I totally know where you're coming from. Funny thing is the early 90s is when I got into the pool scene too (started at the university center and went from there). Pool players are some of the sickest degens around. Doesn't help that most pool halls have a poker room in back.Comment -
Lol....I got my start at 6 years old when I could reach the top of our snooker table.....after that it was Monty's, Scandals, The Pemby and the occassional trip to University Centre (usually right around exam time (the only time I could be found at Uni).

GL on the POD D2D. Will be interesting to see how the Spurs approach the game tonight. If they lose, Lakers will probably end up the 8th seed playing the Thunder in the first round. If the Spurs win, they still have a shot at the 1 seed (and the potential to play the Lakers in the first round). I don't know all the tie breaker scenarios, but I hope for your sake they do play this one like it's a 'statement' game.Comment -

pretty much sums me up as well. Since high school in the 80's, its pretty much been pool halls, poker rooms and golf courses. Its a life style for sure and its certainly the hardest way to earn a easy living. Its always smart to casually glean information from a golf player who's just challenged you to $1000 a hole if he's ever spent time in a pool hall...if so, you're probably about to be hustled.Comment -
