I think you're vastly underestimating how many Bama / SEC true believers are out there to counter the Notre Dame love. I'm not suggesting the faithful would be hopping the fence. I'm just saying more people would see Bama -7 and bet bigger than they are on -9.5 because laying "only" a TD looks like a slam dunk.
