Yeah if they can get roberto luongo and some leadership (Not easy to replace guys like sundin), anyways Best of luck with leafs.

I believe the pens will own this season. Especially with a backup goalie that can challenge Fleury if he's getting nerves in the playoffs.
Malkin has gone up a level and will own this league too. The lack of Mr. Stall is the only question mark for a good 3rd line.
It was also some rumors that Gonchar will move back to penguins for a cheap as deal. They should also look at finding a natural right winger as they are shy with 1 guy. Hoping a bit secretly that Eric Tangradi will start living up to he's potential and get get more ice time....

Rick Nash (groin) will receive treatment for his groin injury, but it's not believed to be serious.
The ailment was termed as being mild and Nash should be ready to go if the NHL season can get underway in January. The NHL and NHLPA will try to get back on track in their negotiations on Wednesday with the help of federal mediators.

Nash and Gaborik have a vicious history of groin injuries. This one may be mild but a shortened season might be the worst thing possible for this kind of injury.

With this being a shortened season now you are going to see playoff hockey in the regular season because there is only going to be about 30 percent of the games than normal. You cannot afford to get behind very far or your in trouble. I do think the first 20 games is key and you have to get going well or you could be too far behind to catch up. The good thing here is it will help the economy in those cities that only depend on hockey as a part of their revenue. I know here where I am at in St. Louis it is hurting the cities revenue they said on the news last night and they are glad they are returning. I am sure the Westin Hotel where they stay at are thrilled because it was hurting their business. I am positive though that it is going to be like playoff hockey at times during the regular season and it should be more exciting this year during the regular season. Then think about the trading deadline with teams and such should be brought out shortly. It is sure going to be interesting without a doubt. I know the hockey players have to be looking forward to coming back also.
