wow pinny is just juicing up that denver line at +9 even at 7.5 the odds suck...wow that is unreal....I do really like denver today at +9 I would even take them at +8 if the odds were better....but at this point I think I may just wait for a live bet to get better odds.

what a bad start to the day.....1-4....lets put it behind us and look at this game....I would be on the Under here but I do not bet unders anymore....just dont like them and cannot do it....even though I believe this will be a low scoring game....so what do I say for today...I was leaning broncos as +9...as I too am caught up in this whole tebow mania but then I woke up and realized this is a very very experienced playoff team (pitt)...and denver is not experienced at all....tebow's first playoff game...I mean 6 completions in a game....even though I was impressed with the unbelievable wins by denver at the end of the season lets be real...this team is an offensive joke really.....big ben is experienced and will win this game....

I already have one pick for this weekend...and yes again...its not a pick I like as I don't like eli but I will be rolling with the giants...I did get on this line the moment it came out....and did buy half a point to +8 and I now see the line has moved to 8 on its own. I really like the giants here...there D against Atl was great and I can see them coming out strong against the packers. The giants know how to play in the cold, and the packers dont have a great D....so I am rolling with the giants

My other leans are SF and Hou.....I really like NO and had them pegged as a superbowl team until I saw them play outside of their dome. Unfortunately, I dont have confidence in NO playing away and with SF D being the best in the league I think that unfortunately this will be the last stop for the saints....have not made it official yet but I do like SF here...and SF to win this one outright....
Hou....well its not so much about houston in this one as it is about balt. I think that their O just stinks. Yes they have a good D but lets get real, defense is not going to win you a superbowl ring really. You need some good O as well. Not to say that houston has a highly offensive team but I like them in this spot. Actually, I find this line similar to the denver pitt line. If you noticed the denver line was juiced way up at 10 or 10.5 and then just before the game it dropped down to 7.5 and the odds were still not great. I mean I personally think that this line is way too high and the books are giving way too many points to balt here....I think this line should have opened at 7 or 7.5 not 9....but even the odds at 7.5 are bad at this point.....so I will wait to see if I can get some better value out of this line closer to game time but I doubt it....come to think of it....I like a tease with SF, HOU and Giants....guess I am on the dogs this week....for SF and hou not only to cover but to win!!!Comment -

So my first thoughts on this game was sf +3.5 and a sprinkle on the ML. Then I was having flashes of last week when I bet on Pitt -7 and Pitt ml live....and the fact that I really like denver and truly wanted them to win and then found myself wanting my bet to win but also wanting denver to win as I hate pitt and I have to say that I do like denver. So I find myself in a similar place in this game. I really like NO and want them to get to the SB. I thought however, that SF had the edge in this game because of their D and also because of the fact that NO has been a much different team on the road. So when I looked a bit deeper into this here is what I found
NO is the #1 team in pass yards-averaging 334 yards per game. SF is 16th in the league against the pass allowing 231 yards per game.
Now SF is #1 in the league in rush defense allowing on 77.2 yards per game
The saints are a pass team and yes SF has a great D but really it is against the run not the pass. If you look at SF's schedule this year they did not play any highly offensive teams-they played, STL, TB, ARIZ, PITT, BALT, Giants, Dall, Philly, , CLE, Wash, SEA, CINCY and DET. Now out of these teams I you could say that the most productive offensive teams were the giants, dallas, DET and philly. They held dallas to 27, philly to 23, det to 19 and giants to 20. But really I would say that the best offensive teams consistently this year were GB, NE, NO. Det could be up there too but really they were up and down the whole were with their immature play (+++ yards in penalties which killed them so many times).
So really if you look a bit further into the SF games they really have not faced a huge offensive team this year. Now the BIG QUESTION is can NO play well on the road. Up until now we have seen NO really struggle on the road especially recently. But what does that really mean. Look at their road games
NO 34 GB 42, NO 23 JAX 10, NO 30 Car 27, NO 20 TB 26, NO 21 STL 31, NO 26 Atl 23, NO 22 tenn 17, NO 42 Minn 20. So on the road NO offensively has not been as productive as at home.....they are averaging 27 ppg away and 40+ at home....now yes that is a big difference but 27 ppg is still huge and 40+ ppg is just unheard of and is crazy. So now when I look at things this way I am no leaning NO....but am I just trying to talk myself into this bet it could be...but according to these stats NO should win this one and should put up 24+ points at least. I think that at first I was caught up but the fact that everyone was saying that SF was the #1 defensive team in the league but at closer look that is the #1 rush defense in the league...so if NO was a huge running team then yes I would say SF but NO is a hugely offensive team with +++ weapons. I have to say at closer look I like NO here so I may buy them down to 3 and also may take NO tt O 24.5 but I have not decided yet...but I am now leaning NOComment -

I really like this play. From my write up above, for me the obvious play here is on NO -3 (I would but half a point just in case). But for some reason I am waivering on this pick and have a feeling that SF may pull off an upset....although according to the stats, NO should win this one. I still have yet to pull the trigger on a side here. That being said, I am confident that we will see NO put up O 24 points here. NO is a passing team first. Yes they have to get their running game going and SF does have the best rush defense but I mean really Sproles and Pierre Thomas-have you seen these 2 play- I would be shocked if SF can hold these 2 guys to 77 yards....impossible....I see Brees throwing a lot in this game and I think we may see another slowish start by the NO O and the game may be close in the first half as we saw in detroit...Det backers probably thought that det had a great chance to win that game going into the 2H and then...watch out Brees and his offense just lit up the field and they were unstoppable against the pass. Look for brees to be going to Graham this afternoon as he was not finding openings last week, but I think we may see 1+ TD"s from the Jimmy G today!!!
