#37Monday 11/1
Colts TT o28 (1x)
Colts -5.5 (1x)
1Q Colts -0.5 (1x)
Very high number but it is the Colts. This defense is horrific and has allowed 27 points per game this year to mostly modest offenses. I know Peyton Manning wants revenge after the Texans finally beat him back in Week 2. Everyone wants to yap about injuries but the Colts will have Garcon, Wayne, Gonzalez, and Donald Brown playing. If anything I like Addai being out because they won't commit to the run all that much and Peyton is extremely dangerous when he throws. They are averaging over 30 points per game against the Texans over the last ten meetings.Comment -

#39I like the Colts bet. I could see Texans winning, but i would NEVER bet against Peyton, especially with him having 2 weeks to prepare for revenge. #48No need. I don't want to end up having to scroll through 100s of other useless posts every day to find the content that is worthy of reading. I like threads that are straight to the point. #52Keeping the analysis quick, I need to get some sleep.
Sunday 11/07
Bills +3 (1x)
Bills +130 (0.5x)
News flash: The Bills are the greatest 0-7 team to ever play the game of football. What kind of ****** up NFL season is this? Ryan Fitzpatrick is actually good, the bad teams are actually good, and there aren't any dominant teams. Game is in Toronto for those who don't pay attention. Right now the Bills are a few bad breaks away from being 4-3 with wins over New England, Baltimore, Miami, and Kansas City. Fitzpatrick has this offense in gear, averaging almost 400 yards in the past three weeks. The defense has been bad but they have been giving it all up on the ground lately. Forte isn't a guy who will kill you and with a Martz offense I think the Bears may find themselves playing right into the Bills hands. The Bears are just bad, that 4-0 start is a distant memory and Jay Cutler is just a ******* head case. He doesn't fit with this Bears team.
Chargers -2.5 (1.5x)
The Chargers always seem to turn it on right about now and they dominated Tennessee pretty much the whole second half give or take one almost 80 yard touchdown with no defender within 30 yards of the receiver. This Texans defense is going to get absolutely shredded by Phillip Rivers. Not to mention I am one of the few supporters of the Tolbert/Mathews/Sproles tri-pod. Think they can have a big day. Texans just aren't what we thought they were. We thought they finally made the leap out of the 7-9/8-8/9-7 realm and into the 11-5/10-6 range. Now? They can't throw anymore, they offensive line is playing like shit, they lost to the Cowboys and they can't stop anyone. Looks like the Texans are still in the average range.
Lions +4 (1x)
Lions +185 (0.5x)
The Lions are that pain in the ass team this year. The team that never goes away, isn't really that talented, and every time you seem to knock them down they come right back and push you to the limit. Some weeks they break through (last week). Some weeks they fall short (Giants, Eagles, Packers). They are going to give you an effort. The great part about this game is we don't have to go through the whole Lions "wasting time only to realize they need to abandon the run" thing. The Lions know they can't run it so they won't be trying to use their weak point against the Jets strong point (rush defense). I don't know about you guys but I still don't trust Sanchez on the road and I think the Lions are in a good spot here to catch a napping Jets team that can't figure out how to manage the red zone. The Jets red zone defense has been fantastic but the Lions are more of a big play team rather then a drive team that will put together drives and work their way into the red zone. I just have a gut feeling the Jets will have their hands full on Sunday.
Dolphins +5 (1.5x)
Dolphins +190 (0.5x)
The Dolphins are a good team, get that through your head. They are good. They aren't average they have just played a really tough schedule and gotten some of the worst luck in the NFL. They have already proved to be road warriors winning @ Bills, @ Packers, @ Vikings, and @ Bengals. They should have beaten the Steelers, they could have beaten the Jets. These team are very even and very similar teams and I don't get why I can get one team with five points on my side. Henne is a typical dink and dunk guy who will lull you to sleep and then try some deep sideline routes. The running game is very creative. Their short yardage game is some of the best in the league and this defense is not to be slept on. They get pressure, they cover, and they can clog the running lanes. The Dolphins shouldn't be getting five points here. This will be a very close game down to the wire and the five points will be huge in that spot. Think the Dolphins get the win.
Browns +4.5 (1x)
Browns +195 (0.5x)
Cleveland has hung in their all year against good teams and they get another test with the Pats. This defense is actually pretty good and I love backing the Browns at home. I still have my questions about the Patriots. The passing game hasn't looked the same since Moss left. Welker can't seem to get open as often as he did with Moss and if that is a recurring theme then it is going to be a big problem for the Pats. Colt McCoy has looked pretty good going against the Pitt and NO defenses which are both no joke. He gets to make his home debut and it should be a good environment for this one. The Browns aren't as bad as you think and the Pats aren't as good as you may think.
Seahawks +7 (1.5x)
Seahawks +260 (0.5x)
This line is crazy. I have never made this large of a bet against my team but this warrants it. I am a huge Giants fan and will be rooting my ass off for them Sunday but if they lose I have a consolation prize. There is no way the Giants should be favored. They did impress me the past few weeks but this is the typical Giants let down game on the road. They have never won in Seattle and the Seahawks are night and day at home compared to the road. The Seahawks run defense is pretty good and when you slow down Bradshaw/Jacobs and make Eli throw in a stadium as loud as this one you will see lots of delay of games, lots of false starts, and lots of dumb plays. The Giants shouldn't be giving seven on the road here. Crazy line.
Colts +3 (1.5x)
Colts +135 (0.5x)
I don't get it. Plain and simple. I will buy some back if the line starts acting up but I don't know anyone who is going to bet the Eagles. If this game sees even 40% of Eagle action I will load up more on Indy. I don't care who is hurt that is Peyton Mannings team and that is all the Colts need on offense. He makes everyone else so good. Look at Dallas Clark...tell me Tamme didn't fill in for him flawlessly?Comment -

#535 Points per a write-up / play. I agree with your Bills, Seahawks, and Chargers plays. The only one I don't agree with is the Browns. I simply cannot lay any money on them or the Bears.Comment -

#58BJ, I'm a big G-Men fan as well and this game scared me when the schedule came out! The fact that Hasselback is out is helpful, but we also have to realize that we're facing the best 'hair' in the NFL in Whitehurst. Thanks for the picks!Comment -

#59Good Luck, but....
I dissent and wholeheartedly disagree with every one of your picks, save the LIONS (+4). My picks are listed under "Candyland........." in the forum.
As I said good luck....
and in the spirit of sportsmanship and respectful debate, I hope you won't need it.
