Good week last week after going back and forth a few weeks. Putting a run together winning the past two weeks.

NFL Week 8 Play
Sunday 10/31

Packers +6 (2x)
This line looks high too me. A simple -3 would have been realistic and I still would have played the Packers. I don't think the Jets are as good as most people think. The Packers won't run into this crazy good run defense and should be able to exploit a secondary that has been shaky at times this year. Even if Revis plays and locks up Jennings, Rodgers can hit all his other targets. Jennings is more of a deep ball threat anyway and hopefully Driver is healthy and can pick up some of that slack. This Packers defense is no joke either, they are very fast and cause turnovers and with Sanchez in the building the door is open for a big day for the defense. This game is probably going to be close both ways but the six points is too much to give the Packers in this spot.

Chargers -3 (2x)
I am not one of the guys who are completely writing off the Chargers, not yet at least. It just seems like they have too much skill to be this bad. Every week they go down but then every week they storm back late in the game and fall short. I think the Titans are the right kind of team for the Chargers to beat up pretty good at home. Chris Johnson isn't exactly lighting up the world, I mean the success is still there but I have seen him get stuffed a hell of a lot more then he did last year. The huge plays just aren't coming as often and it seems like the league has caught on. Kenny Britt won't do what the did last week and the Eagles outplayed the Titans for almost the whole game last week before they collapsed. The Chargers can throw the ball against anyone and if they give the Titans a little heavier dose of the Ryan Mathews, Mike Tolbert, Darren Sproles combo I think they will be a lot better off. The San Diego defense has actually been very good this year but the numbers won't really indicate it unless you dig deeper. A lot of fumbles and interceptions have led to a large amount of the scoring usually giving the opponent the ball in great field position. I know Rivers sucks until November but the Chargers are the better team here and this is the game that the Chargers start to turn things around in my opinion. The Chargers have covered the last seven meetings between these two teams.

Disagree with the Green bay play cause I think the Jet's offensive line and defensive line are much better than Green Bay. Yesterday as we could see the referees were on Green bay side, if not Viking would win that game. One more reason is I think and I got a strong feeling that this year will be Jet's year and the super bowl game would be between 4 of these teams Pit burghs - New York Giants - New York Jets - New England Patriots.

Chargers at home week 8 play will be better than last weeks vs New england, they just lost the game by them selves not by the New england, too much penalties and stupid plays on the offensive line also as the defensive line.

Just some thoughts from me, I have no other thing to argue, listen to thoughts from another members. Thank in advance!

I didn't notice many calls or non calls going Green Bays way but of course I could have just been a blind sheep because I bet GB. I don't think that Jets defensive line is all that. A lot of the pressure they do get (which they haven't been getting as much of lately) usually comes from the backers and d backs that come from all angles. No reason to think the Jets can't be Super Bowl contenders but Super Bowl teams lose games, has nothing to do with this one. No reason GB can't be SB contenders if they can find a consistent running game.

Carolina is a mess, they beat the lowly Niners but they are either getting a lot of credit with this line or the Rams just aren't. I got news for you the Rams aren't bad. They have a solid defense, a good coach, a good quarterback, and one of the best running backs in the league. Should be Rams -6.

Already loving the way this play is shaping up. Everyone is sticking a fork in the Saints after a bad loss at home to Cleveland and they may be done but, they are still a very capable team. Yea, the Steelers are always fun to bet and they do look like one of the best teams in the league and strong Super Bowl contenders but this game will mean nothing about who is in or out of the Super Bowl come January. First of all, the environment should be incredible for the game. New Orleans is already a great environment, add in Sunday Night, and a Halloween and I am expecting a bunch of drunken rowdy fans cheering on the Saints. The bad news for the Saints is they won't be able to run the ball against the best run defense in the league. The good news is they probably didn't plan on running it in the first place. The Steelers have been exploitable against the pass. Over the past three games the combo of Chad Henne, Colt McCoy, and Joe Flacco have averaged 264 yards per game through the air. Certainly think Brees can have his success. The thing is Brees has thrown ten picks this year, an insane amount at this time in the year for him. He is usually much more accurate. However, I think the Saints loss last week may serve as a wake up call and they may sit back take a deep breath and go back to the drawing board. Look for lots of safe throws from Brees as long as the protect the QB they should be fine. Great value.

I wanted to add the point of the saints game that when a team loses by double digits they bounce back the next week strong and have a good record against the spread, so another play I kinda like is the broncos to cover. There is a large % of the public on the steelers and the line has moved from pick to steelers +1... sounds like a trap haha.. I think my only real play will be the bills/chiefs over 45.5 for about 4-5 units as well as 1-2 units on the chargers. BJ any input on the chiefs over? imo its set far too low and since fitz has been qb they have been much more efficient and should do well against 25th ranked pass D and the #1 chiefs rush O plays an awful rush D in the bills.. just my thoughts

I wouldn't play that number. I think the Chiefs are in for a tougher time then they expect. Not expecting more then 27 points out of them. Can Buffalo get to 20? Maybe Fitz has been on fire but at this point not a bet I am willing to make. KC has played great against better QB's then Fitz.

I am liking Green Bay +6 today also. I think Aaron Rodgers can pick up the blitz and get rid of the ball quick enough before he takes the sack. Could go for some big TD tosses to Driver or Finley this week.

I said that was one hundred percent done with the NFL but after a mediocre college week ended up taking the Saints for a win. I was wandering what you think about tonights game. Colts are really beat up and although it is a revenge game and the colts have Manning, maybe top 5 greatest QB's ever, will he be able to pull out a victory and cover this 5.5 point spread. I really dont know who he is going to be able to throw the ball to. Looks like you had a great week in both college and the NFL. I know how it is, when your hot your hot and when your not your not, I will probably roll with your pick tonight. Feels good to be back on a roll again after two off weeks. By the way great call on the Penn State game on Saturday, you called that one down to a "T". Best write up that played out all year.

I will have a play with a analysis up in a little bit. I may not play the side or total but I have a few other bets I think hold some value. Still waiting to see how line acts.
