Ya Dixon is a bum in the NFL. I can't believe he got the starting job over Batch. I understand they probably have custom plays for him but in the NFL that does not win games. You can be sure ATL will be prepared for that as well.

Miami should handle buffalo and the birds may not get the game in due to thunderstorms

I can see Rams and Broncos as two good dogs this week.

There is a somewhat popular trend about home underdogs in the nfl and a turf comparison
generally, if the turfs differ between team stadiums, the home dog wins 60% of the time... or so I have heard
so, with this basis.. and the home dogs listed above we have to consider:

            -- different turf, take --
            BUF +3
            PIT +1.5
            HOU +1
            SEA +3
            STL +4
            WAS +3.5

            -- same turf, take --
            GB -3
            SD -4.5

quickly reviewing the above, I only like GB and SD to cover.
will see how the rest stacks up

seems to be a lot of back and forth on the GB game .. should be interesting

a good bet is on jacksonville jaguars, no one is talking about that game, the defense of the jaguars is better than the broncos and the offense is decent enough to cover 2.5 pt spread

The thing about the bronco's is when they should get crushed, they come out blazing. (Steelers anyone?) And vice versa they choke up the field every given sunday when they should be the clear favorite. If ever there is a team who makes the whole game a fade it's Denver.

Indy wins by a TD. They're a good RF. With a slightly improved running game they're my SB favorites. Manning is just too good and too smart.
49-ers beat a Seahawks team in tatters. SF ML
ATL should be able to beat the Dixon-Steelers.

KC looks pretty good ATS. Chargers are notoriously slow starters.

WAS possibly. I may bet them ATS. But remember that Dallas fields the (almost the exact) same starters as last year, and Haynesworth has been sulking throughout the offseason. Could be a close game.

Rams have a shot against the Cards. I don't trust the Cards defense, and Bradford has been impressive in preseason. Anderson is no improvement over Leinart, and I think Whiz may have his eye on Max Hall down the road (next season). Cards may have a poor season.

No opinion on Eagles and Bills.

I have to think at least 4 of them win su and maybe 5 on the spread. I would think that taking them all on the ML would be a profitable option. The books got worked last year on the first 8 weeks and this time they look ready to bury the public on the first weekend. It is happening in NCAAF already and i expect it to happen big time. The ones in red i like somewhat. Opinions are welcome. Please if you have nothing good to add to this discussion dont post in here. This thread is for people who gamble and take it seriously and like to have good discussion.

5 out of 8 home dogs cash.
