Tom Brady, Brett Favre, Peyton Manning in that order. Maybe Brees if he can repeat last year's heroics. Maybe Adrian Peterson if he doesn't fumble this year.

Tomlinson might win comeback player of the year, but MVP... probably whatever QB is doing the best right around the time they vote.

1000 yards and 16 TDs for Tomlinson? He's going downhill fast and I don't think the Jets rushing attack will be nearly as effective as last year. I do like Rodgers though. Peyton is always in the mix as well.

Drew Brees.
I think the Rookie of the year could be either C.J. Spiller or Ndamukong Suh.

Favre got robbed last year. not brees. Favre had the best stats all around of any quarterback last year(including fewest ints). but for next year, Aaron rodgers looks like he might be in line for a MVP award.

Love it.
Tomlinson getting 0 respect. He will have over 1000 yards next season and double digit TDs. I will steal him come Fantasy football time when everyone brushes over him. The Jets are gonna take the AFC next year, if not, the Ravens will. Tomlinson is going from the wrost O line in the league to the best O line in the league, just remember that if your one of his critics.

I picked Tomlinson up off waivers in Fantasy last year, and promptly sent his ass back to the trash heap.
But you are right, he will have a better season behind a run blocking line. But he is still done, and will never be the old LT.

I think LT's carries will be limited unless Greene gets injured. So I can't see him getting close to the MVP. 1000 yds and 16 TD's wouldn't win it anyways. 5 QB's would be ahead of him with those #'s.

I would like to see Andre Johnson or Matt Schaub get it but I think Peyton wins again.

If he has those numbers with the best record in the league he will be in the discussion. LT will get at least 45 percent of the carries, and all the goal line carries.

If he has those numbers he's not even close to being in the discussion for MVP. He'd need more like 1600yds, 20TDs for that and that isn't happening.

No he wouldn't need anywhere near that if his team is 14-2 or 13-3 with 15 tds and 1000 yards he will be a candidate. End of discussion.

When Tomlinson won his MVP in 2006, it took 1815 yards, 28 TDs and a 14-2 record.
When Shaun Alexander won in 2005, it took 1880 yards, 27 TDs and a 13-3 record.
In 2000, Marshall Faulk won with 1359 yards, 18 TDS and a 10-6 record, but also had 81 catches for 830 yards & 8 TDs receiving. Plus Faulk had been putting up similar numbers for many years in a row and was coming off a Super Bowl winning season. Some of that voting might have been from overdue respect.
I can keep going back to Terrell Davis in 1998, Barry Sanders in 1997, Emmitt Smith in 1993, etc. But all of those were record breaking years for those RBs.
My point is that MVP is for doing something exceptional, above and beyond the rest of the players in the league for that season. 1,000 yards and 15 TDs just isn't going to cut it, even if the Jets go 16-0.

never said he'll win it, just will put him in the discussion. Just like Lebron was 99 percent th eMVP this year but Kobe was still in the discussion as was Dwight Durant and Wade
