the jets and bengals meet again just a week later from their meadowlands matchup on sunday night. that game meant everything for the jets and nothing for the bengals who clearly didnt have the motivation the jets had. now the jets have to travel to cincy and face the bengals in their backyard just a week later. i have to back the veteran carson palmer over sanchez in the postseason with revenge on the minds of cincy. the bengals are essentially being asked to simply win this game as 2.5 pt favorite. yes, cincy is 0-7 ats as favorites this year, but have not been favored by less then 3 in any game. the bengals are not going to get a lot though the air with the jets shut down corner rivas roaming the secondary. look for heavy running on both sides of the ball. 2 great defenses here with the jets # 1 in the league giving up 15ppg and the bengals # 6 yielding 18ppg. a few mistakes from the rookie sanchez should be the difference here. the bengals were just embarassed on national tv and should be hungry to not only advance to round 2, but avenge that beating in NJ. 20-10 Cincy.Comment -
I just don't see how the Bengals move the ball? Rivas can limit Cincy's 1 man WR core.....seems like Palmer only looks for OchoCinco? Benson will see nothing but run blitzes all day! While i like the Bengals to win it will only be because of the possiblity of sanchez throwing picks. The Bengal nation is waiting for a win big time and need it. This could be the opposite of what we saw in ny last week. I dont agree with the eagles pick. The eagles are overmatched and they will have no anwser for Dallas. Alll the cowboys have to do is cover Djack and they should be fine. Dallas is stacked and the three headed monster running game will give philly fits as we know the eagles cant stop the run consistently. I agree with your other 2 plays. I dont see much movement in the lines this week. The fact the bengals are -2.5 is of concern if your backing them cause it tells you the books like the jets. Good LuckComment -

I love that write up, and I am in agreement with you on that Bengals play although I wouldn't put too much on that one. The Bengals had a constant look of fear in their eyes throughout that game in New York.
Anyways, this is a message to Dexter, and all of his buddies here in his thread:
"Here's how it works. You assign each team a number from 1 to 12. At the end of every playoff/Super Bowl game you will get the point that you assign to that winning team as a credit. Say you give the Cowboys 10 points and the Eagles 1 point. If the Cowboys play and beat the Eagles then you would have 10 points. As a team is eliminated from the playoff so is the number that you assign to it.

ive felt for a good part of the season that philly would represent the nfc in the superbowl. i still feel that way heading into the postseason. while mcnabb has never won the big one, the guy is a winning qb. getting 4 points versus a team that beat them twice this year is very appealing. it is very hard to beat a team 3 times in one season. the cowboys have been a stout defense this year but if they have a slight weakness its in the passing game. they are 20th in the league vs the pass giving up 225 ypg. both teams should somewhat contain the others ground game, but i feel the advantage here will be the philly passing attack getting it done. loaded on offense - mcnabb has plenty of weapons including jackson, maclin and the old veteran westbrook. the big wildcard is brent celek who had a bustout year going 76 for 971 and 8 TD's. andy reid has never lost an opening playoff game (7-0) 23-20 PhillyComment -
