That 2H total was brutal SG. I expected Chip and Philly to keep up the pace, because that is who they are. But no idea why Cam was even playing at all in the 4th quarter, let alone with 3 minutes to go. He was clearly playing hurt, and Rivera is fine with him getting pummeled in a meaningless game, not to mention they will be on a short week.

If Newton doesn't fumble on 3rd and long with 1:00 to go in 3rd, there is no scoring. Then they put up 28 on a 23 point total. Unreal.

I really don't believe in the cold having much affect on the total unless you are talking about a dome team playing in it or the Miami Dolphins playing in Buffalo in a blizzard. Wind on the other hand is a different story.

The grounding call was worse given all the time they had to think about it. I looked up the rule (which of course Mike Carey didn't even know, he talked about receiver in the area which isn't stated) which says, receiver needs to have a realistic chance of catching the ball.

So Mike, if the receiver runs the other way on a timing route at midfield on 2nd and 10, and the ball is not near the receiver, are you gonna call grounding? That means they should call it like every game. Sammy Watkins was absolutely right there when the ball was thrown and he ran the other way. The interpretation of the rules is crazy. Grounding is when you throw it and there is knowingly no one there, never was.

The rules situation is a joke in the NFL right now. Carey is an embarrassment to even have in the background, he's wrong on every play he talks about.

KC should beat Seattle right?

I got burned on New Orleans last week, probably going to take them again. Just wish Dalton and Begnals didn't come off worst game of the year, especially with extra time.

I agree with your Indy pick, sweet revenge for Luck from last year.

Looks like a Vikings line with the +2.5. Oh how far the Bears have fallen.

I want to take Rams, but I hate betting against Peyton in regular season, especially in a dome. I do think Rams front 7 could give Peyton "happy feet" in the pocket.

Giants have to cover at some point right? I think this could be a good spot for them. I think Eli will be able to throw on their secondary and they get Jennings back in the run game. Westcoast team playing a 1pm est game always a good fade.

I'm leaning towards Arizona, just think Cards defense can make Stafford turn the ball over, which he does on the road. Game will probably come down to which team takes care of the football.

Generally I agree, but I think the niners are the exception to the rule. I believe they made 4 east coast trips last year and the 49ers have the best road record in the NFL since Harbaugh took over. Also, I believe Aldon Smith is back this week which should help the secondary.
