i like em both, Rick. this is a pretty good spot for Akron, and EMU hasn't done well in the role of big underdog. Dambrot ripped into the team for being immature after last game, you can bet that they'll come out focused. my only concern with 1H is that EMU's zone has kept it in ballgames early and Akron is a good 2H team.Comment -

actually, i think that USF/Gtown snuck over (75-45 and total was in 116-118' range). i decided to pass on it and Auburn both because i figured that the books have to catch up after a few weeks. also, Mississippi State is able to dictate tempo to Auburn whereas some of their less talented opponents like UGA, UT and South Carolina.Comment -

my buddy HoG is from Youngstown and keeps up with YSU very closely. he's one of the guys i play hoops with on Sunday mornings. this game has been vetted through standard Mahoning Valley degenerate channels. Loyola has had big trouble filling seats at the new Gentile Center this season because they started charging students for tickets. other than cross-town DePaul (drew about 4,500), CSU game Friday was first game in which they've drawn over 2,000 all season (and the 2,500 reported attendance Friday is bullshit - i watched that game and there were tons of empty seats close to the court). Loyola has only led at half three times all season and once at home (vs Fordham). Loyola is shit on fire and home and/or 1H. YSU lost Friday night, blowing 2H lead to UIC. now way those guy want to go 0-2 on the Chicago road trip. hope to be wearing YSU angry Penguin shit to super bowl party later, we'll see.Comment -

two potential keep-up games tonight: Mizzou/Oklahoma over 145, Marquette/DePaul over 154'
Mizzou/OU has a red flag for zone defense, and i'm not convinced that Kruger will want OU to try and run with Mizzou. i like MU/DePaul, but the downward line movement on that one is a concern and a potential red flag.
all things considered, i may simply pass tonight since i have a ton of work to do and i'm not crazy about any of the options. if i have time later, will take a longer look at MU/DePaul over if the line movement straightens out and/or may try to gin up something else, but similar to last Monday, the best play tonight may be a pass.Comment -
