Late Pick 5 Sequence
Race 7
#13 AE Pickford (9/2) , Wheeled back in 2 weeks and drops in for the tag, gets a huge pilot upgrade. 5: 1-2-1 @ the distance , 7: 1-2-2 over this oval. #14 AE Cashanova (5/1) , Hasn’t been on a fast track in over a year. If draws in , is a must include, curious to see if Santana rides this one if so. #7 Candy Store (9/2) , Is 5: 2-2-1 @ this distance, and can’t be ignored, dropping back in for the tag. #11 Jungle Warfare (6/1) , I don’t know what happened in the last race, but clearly didn’t take to the slop. Note the Fast Track #’s 10: 0-5-4 This has has shown a late kick in the past, on different surfaces. Entered lowest level today.

Some Others to consider, In case top picks don’t draw in:
#8 Knight’s Cross (8/1) , Goes turf to dirt and ran a big one, last time doing just that The works have been more the solid for the return off 2 month layoff. Gelding is 2: 1-1 @ the distance. Things too like. #4 Federal Case (7/2) , Totes a ton of back class, and has been traveled all over the US, Looks like the new barn, finally has this one spotted in race that he could win. #2 Tapsoulute (8/1) , Is a bit hidden here. Santana was aboard the last time this 6 year old Gelding won, all the way back @ Keeneland, two Halloween’s ago. This Barn does some great things 3rd off the layoff (hitting 23% outta 119 races. Extremely tough barn in the claiming ranks overall. Just not encouraged by the fact this one hasn’t won in a while. #10 Secret Touch (6/1) , Might be the Speed of the speed, but has never got this distance and isn’t going have it easy on the front end.
Race 8
This race presents a lot of similar horses, many have found a ton of success at other tracks, and are just unable to race in easier spots, during this Covid -19. You can make cases for many here, Some haven’t even lost yet. In races like these I simply look for the Class. #9 Bye Bye J (4/1) , leads the way in that department. 3 outta 4 here, 4 outta 6 at the distance. Well spotted here by Asmussen to just get another win. Top pilot aboard who is 2 outta 3 with only loss coming in a Grade 3 to Breeders Cup Winner Covfefe. If a field loaded with horses that want the front, this 4 year old filly will have a beautiful stalking setup, and I’d love to lock in a 4/1 wager on this girl.
Im looking at a single here, but depending on the rest of the sequence, I may Want to use the #4 Sneaking out (7/2) , Although listed as the light favorite, I believe top choice will earn that spot. This barn hasn’t found the success they thought they would, since taking entire cali barn down here. This horse has some good back class with some wins and places in those 5 horse cali fields they call stakes races. Off the long layoff, to be a speed horse against a ton of other speed (albeit lower classed horses) is a huge ask. The #5 Nomizar (9/2) , has been in great form , and figures the trip as well. As I type I Actually prefer this one with my top choice, as opposed to the former.

#3 Echo Town (9/2) , Is improving each and every and start, and is my pick to win if #7 Eight Rings (5/2) , Doesn’t show up off the layoff. #4 Ginobili (6/1) , deserves another chance, incase this colt just didn’t take to the off surface last out. If Eight Rings runs his race, its his, but I feel like i have a better single already in the card, so I like to have a back up here.
I’ll be using the 3/7 here for sure.
Race 10
Asmussen / Santana have a huge day ahead, #8 Mia Mischief (9/2) , lol at this line. Got a paid prep for this off the layoff, and draws ideally. #1 Bellafina (8/5) , Im just feeling her in this spot. Im glad she is in the race, to give me a better price on the choice. #2 Midnight Fantasy (5/1) , is intriguing to me here, and I might use on the ticket depending how what I decide
Race 11
#3 Violent Pass (15/1) , Ran a really nice 3rd on debut to Liams Pride, who just finished 4th here yesterday in their feature, and had a rough go of it lats out. Deservers another Chance. #1 Cooper King (7/2) , Why stop these connections now. I’ll Toss in Pletcher just cuz my ticket is pretty cheap with #4 Unrighteous (5/2),

Question about looking at Class of race and class rating.
if I look on twinspires or TVg at avg class rating for gulf race 12 I see #'s around 106,107,108
is that out of 110? How do you know what the "class" of any particular future race is?
for instance Gulf race 1. I can see that the avg "last class" for most of the horses are high 70's or low 80's
how do we know what the avg class is of that actual race?
not sure if that makes sense, but I read people comment about a horse dropping in class, how do you know that they are in a race with lower class? does it depend somewhat on the payout? or some sort power rating of class level per horse?Comment -

#4 Ashiham (9/2) , Pletcher inherits this 800k purchase from Mr. Mclaughlin, and could easily take a step forward, should like the added distance. #3 Mukulwitz (15/1) , Finished on 4 behind Money Moves last time sprinting and the last race can be forgiven , if you decide this one doesn’t want to go long. Never gets bet at the windows and could easily get a price again at a big number. #6 Tons of Gold (10/1) , Candy Tycoon, Attachment Rate, the Tampa bay Derby, just kept a ton of class,, and get put in a situation to put that use. #10 O Driscoll (12/1) , Barboza is doing some things that make me question if he cheating , but he numbers can’t be ignored when debuting horses or first of the claim, A pattern we seen before. #8 Basquiat (2/1) , Check the tote board for this chad brown runner, But i’d be trying to beat. #2 Fugtive (4/1) , Cleary fits, but the worst jockey in the world rides.

Wide open race, but a long shot that intrigues me is #10 Miss Behave (20/1) , The first race off the long layoff , came back strong with horses like Lady Grace, Omalley, No Way Jose, etc. Wont be facing anything like that in here, then had to go back to the bench for 2 months and got a third. Now in Rhythm Racing ,I get 20/1 on horse that fits? OK ,

#7 Attacment Rate (3/1) , Just missed 2nd by head to Untitled in the Gotham and should handle these. #4 Relntless Dancer (6/1) , Is the only on in the group who has been this long. Also Has set the pace in last 2 , but he tried with Tiz the Law and Ete Indian 2 back, and Swallowed up in the Tampa Day last out. Maker’s work tab is excellent, and has a small chance to wire this field, if left on alone on the lead. #2 Americanus (6/1) , Im a fan of these horse, hasn’t done anything wrong, for get that freaky independence Hall race, nobody had a chance there, Should love the add distance and is gonna need pace to cut into. #5 South Bend (4/1) , Im not using this one on top, but all he does is cash checks. #3 Dr. Post (8/5) , Im against in this spot, too much proven class, would have to be a monster.
