Was watching that and feeling really bad for any OSU backers. That sucks, pal.

Craft's dive to the floor at the end was a great teaching moment for my daughter (was watching that, and more importantly, TRIBE with her). She's in 6-7 year-old hoops, her first year, and they gave her #4. I told her that she should play like Aaron Craft (also #4), to grab the ball and make it hers. When he dove on the floor to take the board away from Payne, i turned to her and said, "See?" Her response: "Yes. But that was like a football dive and I don't want to hurt my face." Obviously, I still have some work to do...

Coached many years. Very simple "Get the ball"!!! Most kids don't truly understand how important this simple concept is.

Thanks for the kind words, fellas. Pretty crushed right now (not for me; for Shaver and his kids). I'd really grown to love this squad, listened to a bunch of games on the radio as they obviously don't play a lot of TV games. My brother played for Shaver at Hampden-Sydney and he's a good coach and a genuinely quality person.

Oh well, gotta make your FTs. Sad thing is, that normally isn't a problem for this team. Tribe still has plenty of which to be proud. 29-55 last 3 seasons combined, 20-12 this season. Future is bright with their two best players returning (Thornton junior, Prewitt only a freshman). Thornton is just sick and so fun to watch. He is definitely the best player to put on the green and gold in my two-plus decades of fanship.

I will be pulling for Delaware big-time to get a first round pairing where they can get an upset. There is a lot to like about their team too and they deserved to win last night. A good team has to be able to protect a 6-point lead with 1:10 left. That's what upsets me most: I know that Shaver and his kids are really hurting right now because they know that. I didn't want this season to end so painfully for them. Oh well. I have a feeling that Thornton and Prewitt will both be putting in a ton of work this offseason to sweat out the pain of last night, which will only make the Tribe better

No doubt. I think that we may well see them in there next season. Thornton will be on a mission and he may be the best scorer in the CAA next season. Still very bummed for them this year, esp the seniors, but hopefully this loss will be the fuel that drives them next year.

I actually threw Iowa into an afternoon parlay where the other four teams hit. It paid -110. I had completely forgotten about it and checked this morning to see the loss. Hell, I could've put .5U on the Northwestern ML and made money on the deal, but I didn't even think twice about the Hawkeyes dropping that game after pummeling NW twice during the regular season. What an embarrassing loss. How are they not on the bubble?

I think that last night put them on the bubble, but in all fairness, i haven't paid attention to seeding/bubble discussions in years. Like debates over the top 25, i don't find them to be interesting. Whoever gets in, gets in. Leave the debates to the true believers and fans (who disgust me).
