Might be that the end of the first half run may have been their undoing as they sure weren't zoned in 2nd half. Kind of like they thought they would just cruise.

Totally agree. They fell in love with the deep ball when they should have been going inside and banking fouls early 2H. Oh well, at least i essentially pushed on the game thanks to easy butter 1H under play.

I'm going to wait until i cool down from last night before i cap the final. Don't normally get emotional about games but i can't get the looks on Traevon Jackson's and Frank Kaminsky's faces after the final shot out of my head. I have an autographed Jim Jackson ball in my basement (possibly my favorite player ever) and my heart just breaks for those kids. They play the absolute right way - extra passes, ball fakes, helping the helper, gang rebounding, grinding their opponents, making their FTs. I don't think that they took a bad shot the entire first half (they took 2-3 second half).

UK is very talented, but let's be honest - any team with that much talent that is that awful on defense is simply poorly coached. UK won, they deserved to win, but i'm not looking forward to 48 hours of isn't-Cal-great? pieces. They simply have so much talent that they can make up for how shit-stupid they play. Good for them. I'll have the tv on mute a lot until Monday night.

It was a great game to watch, and I've re-watched pretty much all of the great games in the tourney because i record most, but i deleted last night's immediately. I got way too emotionally invested in that one - not because of the wager, but rather because i really believe in Wisconsin's style of play and coaching and really wanted them to prevail. My heart breaks for those kids, esp Jackson. He has to really be hurting right now. Poor kid. Not saying that there's anything unfair about it - UK won and deserved to win - but i know that hurt and my heart goes out to him.

Holy shit, i don't think i realized how much i let that Wisky loss get into my head until i discussed it here and then read back my own posts (believe it or not, the wife does not want to listen to my shit on this subject). Gonna take the dog for a long walk and walk this off. Gotta get my head right. I'm a Buckeye fan, i shouldn't be taking a Badger loss this hard. Then again, i'm a fan of well-coached hoops, and Wisky has that over OSU big-time. Okay, enough....

Like UConn Monday, but think that UConn 1H +1' is the way to go. UK hasn't covered 1H their last four games, while UConn has covered 1H in three of four with the one loss Sparty's rather fortunate 1H cover. Calipari seems content to simply keep things manageable heading into half and then make adjustments. If anything, he may sort of like the idea that they're even or down at half so that he can get on his guys and get their attention. Not that he'd prefer to be down, but if they're down/even, he doesn't have to worry about guarding against complacency.

May also go with UConn for game but would want to get +3 even if i have buy the hook. Easy to see this being a last-possession game so having the points and UConn's FT shooting on my side would seem to be solid.

As for total, lean over. Think UConn wins something like 69-68/71-69.
