Okay I will make my write ups during the day as has become customary in the NCAA threads. I don't really see anything that stands out to me in the college game, with the exception of one total I played as soon as it hit the board. I have already played these games so there's no turning back or line movement watching for me.

i know, i am no one...but this is too good in my green-ass, humble opinon.

much like phoenix has had little to no luck lately in oakland, the warriors have had little to no luck lately in phoenix, going 1-4 in their last 5. to add to that, this is also the back end of a home and home in which the suns got embarrassed on the road in oakland. for one to assume that golden state will repeat their success two games in a row is lofty. i have seen a thread already popping up on the nba forum about how much they like the warriors in this one. no disrespect to them, but it's just not there at all for me. i had a writeup on wednesday's thread about why i liked golden state...forget it now. not tonight. not in front of a friday night phoenix crowd that just saw their beloved suns get their shit pushed in by a well-below .500 warriors team. phoenix has shown that they are the epitome of an up and down team this year, and the warriors well tends to run dry quick. phoenix is now due for an up, and golden state is due for a letdown. i will now repeat, this is the back end of a home and home in which the home team embarrassed the road team. the road team that got embarrassed is the phonix suns, featuring shaq, nash, hill, even barbosa, and let's not forget former warriors barnes and richardson. now they're at home, and they're going to be hungry. with this wager, i hope to go 5-0 in the last five games involving the warriors. phoenix -9.5.

definitely on the suns. They handle business at home against the warriors and coming off an SU loss in a home to home situation, the books had to drop a high number to get people on GS.

I took sacto last time the jazz came to town and the game was mine until late in the 4th quarter. This time sacto has had 4 days to stew on the a$$ whooping the suns laid on them on monday and will be hungry to play better. The jazz meanwhile are on a back to back straight off laying an a$$ whooping on the mavs, in the comfort of their home crowd. Now they have to fly to the hostile sacto where they play a team that has done alright against them at home. We all know how good fading jazz on the road can be if done appropriately, well here it is, they should be catching more points than last time for comfort sake too.

oh and for what it's worth... i no longer consider back to backs as a hamper to the lakers because of bench depth, they seem to be just fine and fresh. Not to mention, kobe is one of the best in the game at conditioning and performing late.

For example the Nuggets Vs Spurs game where the initial spread was -5.5 and it jumped up to -11.5 at game time?

adding charlotte. they already covered a couple of 8 point spreads in ATL, who couldn't blow them out at home, now (if i'm not mistaken) charlotte gets a shot at the dex double revenge special. the bobs should be catching some points here, but they'll probably win SU, so there should be some good money to be made on this game.

that was about as big of a fluke as could happen. The only reason that spread jumped like that was coach pop's late flukish decision to sit the big 3 even though only one of them was hurt. As for general line movement, that really depends on a few factors... which side the public is on, which side the books believe will take, and how much of the public money is for or against the books. Don't really think it's anything that can be acurately or appropriately quantified.

Well anyways incase this ever happens again, I want everyone to take advantage of it. So that Denver and Spurs game I did my strategy which doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out. I was already going for Denver -5.5 so I initially threw some money down not knowing about the other spread with a bookie who also only charges 5% juice. Later the spread went up to -11.5 so I made another bet with another bookie going Spurs +11.5 the same amt wager. Automatically right there i covered all possible outcomes and could not lose any of my bets except Juice for one of wagers and with the possibility of winning both bets. So using random numbers 1000 apples for Nuggets -5.5 and 1000 apples for the Spurs +11.5 i covered all possible game ending outcomes with the extra bonus of only losing 5% of 1000 which is 50 apples and a chance to win 2000 apples(odds 40 to 1) if Denver won by 6, 7, ,8, 9 or 10 (which i believe is better than 1/40 chance). I don't have exact numbers but whenever I see a freak of nature like that in spreads, i have seen the outcome hit many times (personally around 50% even in football). and I remember someone saying 7 hits a lot in basketball, i would even risk a small wager if the juice is not too high if spread was 6.5 and 7.5. Ideally this would be ur side bet and if you really favor a side you would throw a lil more on one spread to cover the juice and make a lil. These situations don't come often but they do occur.
