well, for what it's worth, i've decided to pass on that game. i still like over, ND tends to play more up tempo as a fave and SJU supposedly making a lineup change tonight to go more up tempo, but ND has a pretty low-scoring history vs SJU at MSG and SJU plays enough zone that i'm concerned about over. BOL with under, Madison, hope you hit pal.

Well, you were right my friend. Game more uptempo than I expected. Defense was non-existent and it still took a foul and 2 ft's to get me with 3 sec's before half. Played under 62.

I've now lost the Rut/Pitt under in unimaginable fashion, the Den ML enough said, and why would I expect this to be any different. Watching for lightning in winter.

what did you guys think of the provo/gtown line? i thought 7.5 was asking a lot from the hoyas so played provo+7'....

also played nm/boise over 131.5, ya think id be happy it up to 134 but the totals that have moved with me have been my worst ones so far in conf play for whatever reason? starting to feel like baseball where the numbers i beat are the worst plays, not sure ive missed a total that moved against me, always opposite. lol

i lean Providence esp with Whittington out for Hoyas.

i lean over with UNM/Boise, just liked Boise better. here's hoping we both hit.

know exactly what you mean on line moves. beating the closer is half the battle, no doubt, but seems that for the last month (similar to middle of baseball season) that beating the closer has not been a recipe for success for me.

hmm, okay, thanks for the thoughts. for what it's worth, i would not play the under in K State/TCU. there is a really solid over trend (posted by SportsInsights on twitter today) for games with a total under 115'. i think that this is one of those where the fact that the number opened above the kenpom projection and then rose is telling. will have to think more on this one. certainly nothing wrong with passing.

college hoops totals are one of the true week points for books. i said it for years, and no one listened. just because my picks are mediocre doesn't mean i don't have some decent knowledge. why else would books set such low totals for them? also, huge line volatility.

i think that game will have decent tempo and decent number of fouls/FTs. K State will score mid-60s, i think. just need TCU to get 50 or so. that said, i'm not crazy about going over when my model (based on kenpom pace formula) says under but i'm trying to learn to know when to put that aside. will watch and see. hope i'm right but won't pay if i'm wrong.

yep. kenpom pace numbers have lifted the curtain on college hoops totals. if book opens well off the kenpom number, they're kind of tipping their hand. just gotta figure out how to read it after that. you could've played a 13-point middle on Cincy/DePaul last night. still wonder how high that goes if Cashmere Wright doesn't get hurt.

i used to feel that way but then i saw the light,,,i mean sure it happens where a total gets raped by 2 minutes of fouling by a team down 15 (lol) sometimes, but at same time ats plays go down the tubes by a point 1 way or the other just as often...at least last night a little order was restored and i missed the total that moved against me and hit the 1 where i beat the closer, that a change from what has been going on of late, lol...
