    Atlanta will play against Portland. @Walco: what do we do? I don't play the A bets. So, shall I fade Atlanta on their B bet or shall I skip Atlanta and follow the one that loses their bet?
    I answered that yesterday, feel free to copy and paste that post if you wish. I really don't want to type it again.

      Not for the full amount, please read yesterday's post. PLay Atlanta for 1.1 units tonight, not 2.1, trust me on this one. If you are playing 7/5, bet your normal 7 units, since the A bet means nothing to us.

        I am going to type this one last time, please note this post # for future reference.

        Head-Head games for a chase system at all -110 odds.

        Playing 1-1-1-1 (to win 1 unit on A,B,C, or D):
        If two teams face each other, and they are both on the SAME bet level (e.g.: Both (A), both (B), or both (C), skip those bets, and play the one that loses, on their next bet in progression, for the normal amount that bet would be for. The math will work itself out.

        If two teams face each other, and they are on DIFFERENT bet levels, subtract the two amounts you are supposed to bet on each team, and play the higher letter bet team for that amount. Whichever team loses, play that team on it's next bet in progression, for that normal bet amount. (e.g.: (B) bet vs. a (C) bet. We would normally be wagering 2.1 units on the (B), and 4.41 units on the (C). But since they are playing each other, we subtract 4.41-2.10 = 2.21. So we will bet 2.21 on our (C) bet, and nothing on our (B) bet. Whichever bet loses, play the next bet for the normal amount. So if the (B) bet lost, our next bet would be a (C) bet on that team for the normal amount (4.41 units). If the (C) bet had lost, our next bet would be (D) for 9.27 as usual. If a bet goes head-head, and one of the bets is a (D) bet, and that (D) bet loses, the series is over, and it will cost you slightly less than if you had played both teams out. TRUST ME, it does.

        ** Note: never start a series when, playing 1-1-1-1, when two teams have a potential to face each other in their respective (D) bets, you will DEFINITELY lose money if they meet. But any other letter combo is possible to win your 2 units.

        Playing 7/5 on (B) and (C):
        If an (A) meets a (B) - play the (B) for 7 units, since (A) bets mean nothing to us.
        If an (A) meets a (C) - play the (C) for 12.70 units, since (A) bets mean nothing to us.
        If a (B) or (C) meets a (D) - play the (B) or (C) for the normal amount, since we already lost that series that went to (D) anyway.
        If a (B) meets a (B) - skip both bets, play the losing bet's (C) for 12 units, no need to get greeedy and bet 12.7 here.
        If a (B) meets a (C) - Subtract 12.7-7 = 5.7. Bet 5.7 units on (C) and nothing on (B). Hope (C) wins, and if it does, bet normal amount on next (C) bet - 12.7. If the (C) would have lost that first bet, series would be over, and you will have lost less than had you played both series out.

        ** Note: never start a series when, playing 7/5, when two teams have a potential to face each other in their respective (C) bets, you will DEFINITELY lose money if they meet. But any other letter combo is possible to win your 10 or 12 units.

          Limit, Cobra, and Cleveland. I forgot to mention one thing to you guys about the backtest. Go back to all your losses, and make sure the bet they lost wasn't also another teams D bet. Because if it was another teams D bet, we wouldn't have played one of those series. Usually the one that starts first we play, if they start the same time, we play neither until one team wins.

          Also, along the same lines, we need to check all series that went to the D bet. These are all losing bets in the 7/5 strategy, so we need to make sure that the C bets that lost, thus forcing a D bet, weren't played against another team who was also on a (C) bet. We would never make that bet in the real world, and quick backtesting won't reveal this unless we are looking for it. Read post above if you are unclear about what I am asking.

              I'll be going back into 2004-5 tonight so I will look out for these occurances. As for C loses by losing 7/5 series, we can't be sure of that yet, it may be C and D that is best. In my tests, though slightly off, there were C losses aplenty. One season going over -100 units. But I agree that it is good to check.

                That's why we need to check both.

                      Looking at this if you were playing 7/5 from the B bet you would have had a nice run in middle of season but would have had a brutal March. Will PM this to you Wallco

                        Here are the 2008-09 backtest results.

                        I did not see any C or D bets that were against another C or D bet. There was a D bet that lost against another teams A bet...however this was with the scoring 80 pts even series test. I have the under 80 pts results, 80 pts even results, and then both combined below. Wallco...I do have this on an excel sheet as well if it is needed.

                        I did want to mention that I started a new series any time a team scored under 80 pts. There was 1 situation were the team scored under 80 pts..and they still covered ATS. This brings a situation where we would be betting 2 chases on the same team. This did not result in a series loss, but wanted to mention. There are also situations were the team will not cover ATS and score under 80 pts. This will result in a chase win, and the start of another chase. I believe which was addressed by Wallco in earlier posts.

                        Let me know of any questions

                        Under 80 Pts

                            B = 32 - 33
                            C = 19 - 14
                            D = 7 - 7
                            Great work. What were the 7 losses, can you please list them so I can look for common occurances for all seasons.

                              Sorry...here you go.

                              Under 80 pts.

                              CHAR qualified 11-22, covered 11-24,11-26,11-28,11-29
                              WAS qualified 12-23, covered 12-25,12-27,12-29,12-30
                              NJ qualified 12-31, covered 1-2,1-3,1-5,1-7
                              CHI qualified 3-11, covered 3-13,3-14,3-17,3-18
                              MEM qualified 3-28, covered 3-30,4-1,4-3,4-4

                              80 pts even

                              OKC qualified 11-21, covered 11-22,11-25,11-28,11-29
                              POR qualified 3-15, covered 3-16,3-18,3-19,3-21(against MIL A bet)

                              If we waited to play teams once they qualify in DEC, and stopped playing anyone who qualified after FEB. Record would have been 63-2 combined for both records for this season at least....but not sure that is a good filter

                                Honestly I think we will need some sort of filter in place. If 2004-5 proves just as bad as it did in my initial test, the ability to profit with this system would be extremely varied. Almost a 50% chance on whether you go positive or negative every season so far. Too much of a risk for me.

                                I should have 2004-5 done within the next couple days, have a lot of work on my table. If anyone can take up 2005-6 in my stead as well it would be appreciated.

                                  I think I may be agreeing with you, this system may be a flop.

                                    Fellas...was going back checking my backtest looking for trends and noticed 2 errors. They didn't change the loses, but did slightly change the overall record and bet record. I have it updated below. There was a game on Jan. 16th NO vs. DET where both scored under 80 and I didn't capture. Also there was a CHAR game on Dec. 23rd I had classified as Under 80 pts, and they scored 80 pts even so results were under the wrong heading. Sorry for any confusion, not sure it changes your outlook however.

                                        Ok Limit ....I have my 2006-07 backtest complete as well. We are both very similar. For some reason..I have one more win than you do and the bet records are slightly off. I didn't show the pushes in my record so perhaps that threw off your bet results ? Either way..I don't think it will change a whole lot...still a losing season no matter how you look at it with 8 loses.

                                          Cobra great work bud. The reason ours differ is because I counted pushes as losses instead of skipping that bet and playing the next bet at the same level. In the end though that doesn't make a giant of a difference in whether or not the season is a winner or loser. I think this system is a bust, but I can continue to complete 2004-5 if necessary.

                                            Limit - I couldn't agree with you more. My 2 season back test shows scoring 70 pts or less is 23-1 (basically +5 units). Scoring 65 pts. or less is 5-0..but rarely happens. I even looked at Home or Away when qualifying for the chase. Home was 90-6 (a loser) and Away was 136-7 (+7 units). Our combined record for 6 seasons is 682-40 (-55 units).

                                            The most promising results I've found for the 2 sesons I backtested is if you play only in months of Jan & Feb the system is 80-2 (+43 units)...so perhaps this angle can be explored more.

                                            Unless the scoring dynamic of the league has changed (more pts) then perhaps the better 2009 & 2010 season results will continue ? That's a big question.

                                            I would suggest anyone playing this system to tread lightly. I'm not getting in with my money...if I was positive, I would jump out now and be happy with my positive units. This feels like a bust or 50/50 at best, unless some unique filter can be applied.

                                                            Have you been contacted by them for middle betting? Placing bets on both sides? Some of the systems we follow make us take those bets. I was chatting with their chat support, and all of a sudden a supervisor started came on and started chatting with me and told me I needed to stop middle betting or they'll limit my wagers or close my acct. I plan to withdraw all my funds and join 5dimes....
