Houston Rockets At Memphis Grizzlies

I'm on Memphis to get the points against Houston at home tonight! Houston will be playing their final game of a long 6 game road trip, and will be looking forward to getting home! Where Memphis has gone 1-1 in its last 2 home matches will be looking to respond from a disappointing showing last start losing to Utah.

Memphis is one of the top ranked defensive teams this season and will be looking to shut down Houston's high scoring play. They force alot of opposition turn overs and this will take affect against a fatigue Rockets side tonight.

Allen is a great match up for K.Martin and will frustrate all night. While M.Gasol is now getting some recognition after being selected as an All Star is a tough match up for anyone. I expect a great contest with Scola also. The area I see Memphis taking the upper hand is Rudy Gay! I don't see a real match up for him and he could have a night out! With that in mind and the luxury of being at home for a third straight match, I like Memphis to cover tonight!

Oklahoma City Thunder At Houston Rockets

On the Thunder to grab a road win in Houston today! The Rockets are on b2b games after losing to Memphis yesterday. They are also returning home from a long 6 game stint on the road. I expect them to come out a little rusty. Coming up against OKC isn't the team to be rusty against! They are playing great ball right now! 22-6, with an impressive 12-5 record on the road.

While the Thunder will also be on b2b games they will hardly be fatigued having dealt with Utah quite easily last night and have had 3 days off before that game! This rest is like gold in this shortened season. Something Houston would love right now!

The Match ups here also favour OKC. Much like I stated in last nights play against Memphis. OKC has a great defensive stopper at the 2 guard in Sefolosha to frustrate K.Martin even more! Also the matchup for Durant has me guessing? Thunder cover the 3 here!

Loving the Clippers here tonight on the road facing Portland! The Blazers are on b2b2b games here coming off a hard fought win in Golden State last night. They will again be without big Forward Aldridge! While they managed with out their All Star last night, here they will be found out! David Lee had a solid game against them last night but here they will have to account for the explosive Griffin and 7fter Jordan! I see LA dominating the paint and the Glass here at the Rose Garden!

The Clippers are also on b2b games here having shaken off a determined Washington side last night at home to win by just under 20! The Clippers are actually 5-2 this season in their 2nd on b2b situations and are 7-6 on the road. While Portland bosts on of the better home records @ 11-4, they have dropped their past 3 straight here!

With Portland on b2b2b and missing Aldridge that is a big fade! I also love the fact the Clippers now hold one of the best PG going around in CP3! He will expose the Blazers weakness here and feed Griffin and Jordan all night! And as we know LA are great starters so over the 1st Q spot! Taken the game also as is a small line and I see them winning this one as well!

Denver Nuggets At Memphis Grizzlies

Denver travel to Memphis after a disappointing performance against the Mavs last start will again be without 3 of their starters Nene, Gal and Mozgov! Very tough ask for anyone. Memphis after a rough form patch are looking to win their 3rd in a row.

Without these 3 starters, Denver is now relying on Lawson, Affalo and Fernandez for offense. Trouble with that is Memphis are one of the better defensive teams in the NBA! Especially at the guards with Conoly and Allen.

It will be tough for Denver to get going on Offense tonight. And with their 3 starters at the forwards and Centre will struggle to contain Memphis's two big offensive weapons Gay and Gasol! Memphis to good at home for mine. Cover the 2 buckets!

The Sixers will be desperate for a win tonight having losses badly last start in Orlando and have also dropped their past 2 games at home. Phili has been a tough place for visitors recently 13-5, and the Sixers are do bounce back very well off a loss!

Dallas is enjoying a five game winning run they come into tonight match minus 3 guards! Terry, West, and Beaubois will all miss which will really stretch this veteran team. Big minutes will be needed from Kidd, Carter and Odom here. Tough ask against a very deep Sixers side at home. The combination of Williams, Holiday and Turner will test Kidd and Carter in particular. Sixers bounce back for a nice win at home!

What has gone wrong at Phili? There 2nd half collaps last start against the Mavs was inexcusable! This team is far to talented and has not dropped 3 in a row so far this season. Yes they are still missing Hawes and his presence in the paint is huge but with 48hrs to stew on that devastating loss at home I expect a huge performance from this group!

As we know they don't seem to have a problem starting matches it's just the finishing! Minny who are going well now have Love back and playing well seem to be the opposite? They have come from behind to finish games well. Here's hoping this trend continues here tonight. With all that said 76ers must and will start well as they will want desperately to put that last start out of theirs and everyone else's memories! Sixers to lead at the half!

LA have dominated the first 2 matches against the Suns this season all be it at home which they have been a force! They now take on the Suns in Pheonix how will be looking for some pay back for these two losses! I just don't see it. If LA sticks to what works which is pound the paint! Get Gasol and Bynum involved and take advantage of the Suns lack of size. Not to mention Kobe's record against Pheonix.... He clearly goes up a gear against the Suns which is not good news for the home side tonight. Lakers win this one and cover!

I like them to grind out a tough win SU!

It's always tough to pick 1st game back after the All Star break, as some teams respond better to having a few days rest where others didn't get much rest at all if well represented over the week end. I like the Clippers here at home today who will be seeking revenge over Minnesota!

As we all know this play has always been a favorite as the Clippers tend to explode in the opener especially at home! And if you saw the way Blake Griffen and CP3 performed in the All Star Game I don't think they will be at all rusty! They were on fire! Keeping it simple today with the one play! Clippers to cover the bucket here in the 1st!

I like the Bulls tonight playing in San Antonio. The Bulls head into this match healthy! This has been a rarity so far this season! Hamilton will play his 2nd game in a row after a long lay off and Rose put away any doubts over his back issues last night! While the Bulls are in a usual tough spot, being on b2b and on the road, This team seams to thrive on them! Chicago are a terrific traveling team and are 9-2 in b2b spots!

The Spurs are having a terrific team, but have been hit by injuries. Manu and Ford will again miss, and it would appear Leanord, Neal and Splitter are all unlikely tonight also! This will hurt especially up against a quality side like Chicago! I like a healthy Bulls side with a few points against the Injury hit Spurs tonight on the Road!

The Clippers let yet another big lead slip last start against the TWolves. This has been singled out by both the coach and Chris Paul "We must put teams away and close out games". While being on the wrong side of a few close ones lately, This is just what they do tonight!

I see the Clippers dominating the inside here on both ends. Griffin and Jordan will be to big a task for the emerging Cousins! The Kings are one of the worst teams this year in defending the paint. Both being scored against on the inside and rebounding. An area the Clippers excel in! I see CP3 setting up plenty of easy oportunities for his big men here!

With the recent close losses and a clear message from their coach and new leader, expect a focused side determined to put this game beyond doubt once in control! No more slip ups. Clippers cover

I like the way Memphis has been traveling lately. Winning 4 of last 5. Rudy Gay is staring while new All Star Gasol is taking his game to another level. I see this as a good match up for Memphis and Gasol in particular. Toronto are not very good. Plain and simple, and without any real presence in the middle with Bargnani out, Gasol will be hard to contain. Toronto will struggle to score tonight up against a great defensive team, Allen will lock down on DeRozan and Memphis will get a win on the road!

Miami Heat At Utah Jazz

Miami is on fire! This team is running everybody off the court! Even with Bosh missing will be to much for Utah to contain. The Jazz have injury issues of their own as Bell is out and Millsap is doubtful. Bell out is a big hole as he is one who could limit Wades influence. Now not sure who takes Wade and LeBron? These two will do as they please.

Seeing the Heat are on b2b and traveling to Utah a bad spot for any team, I like the Heat in the 1st Half. Fatigue or simple resting of stars may come into play later in the game. Indiana Pacers At New Orleans Hornets

Love the spot for the Pacers tonight up against the Hornets on the road! New Orleans is coming off a huge win for the club beating the NBA champs Dallas last night. For a team that is 9-27 and just 4-15 at home this is huge! Expect a huge letdown today folks.

To add to this angle the Hornets are playing b2b and 4th in 5 nights. Huge fatigue spot! Up against the well rested Pacers who have had 3 days off. I also see a huge advantage in the paint for Indiana. They are a terrific rebounding team with Hibberd, Hansbrough and West all very physical. West will have added motivation returning to is former home court for the 1st time.

The Hornets are still banged up missing Gordon, Okafor, Laundry, Smith and Ariza. Ariza may play tonight but 1st up off a long break he may be eased into the game. With all these injuries plus the huge minutes Jack, Kaman and Belinelli put up last night these Hornets will be off! Pacers win well tonight!

New Jersey Nets At Charlotte Bobcats

New Jersey are almost healthy, having Lopez back is a huge lift for this young team. Lopez as he has shown in his first few matches is a great low post threat and a real presence in the paint. Williams will love having Brook back in his side.

After an impressive win over Dallas a let down was always on the cards next up against Boston. Williams made the comment that to often this team has a poor performance following a loss. I expect him and his team to be pretty dirty on themselves and I expect a big lift here against the Bobcats.

Charlotte have been awful! There's no hiding it. They have won just 4 matches for the year and have struggled to stay with in double digits against everyone! They are very young and are rebuilding I get it, this year can't end quick enough. Bismack may also miss which won't help here against Lopez either. I expect Williams to put on a show. The Nets win comfortably!

I like the Bulls to come out firing here at home tonight! This is a huge Revenge match for Chicago as Indiana beat them last start nd really let them know about it. D.Rose doesn't forget, here's a direct quote "I'll never forget how they celebrated just from winning this game. I can't wait to play them again," Rose said.

Indiana have won 6 in a row. Pretty good form right? Well look closer at who they actually beat. The Nets and Warriors both at home, plus the Hornets and Bobcats twice! Hardly the force of the NBA there? While winning form is good form it can also be a little misleading.

Sure the Bulls are on b2b games after a close win in Phili, but they are 10-2 in this spot! I like the 1st half in particular because of a slight fatigue spot for Chicago, plus the fact they are terrific starters. 7 pts is a fair bit to lay for the whole game but -3.5 for the 1st half looks good! Especially for a fired up D.Rose looking for revenge! Bulls lead well at the half tonight!

Los Angeles Lakers At Detroit Pistons

The Lakers begin a 3 game road trip in Detroit tonight coming off a big win over Miami last start. Kobe is in a zone right now but what's new? Well he finally had some well needed support with MWP finally deciding to show up! World Piece was great against the Heat, both defensively and offensively. This will give him a huge confidence boost and it will be interesting to see how he performs next up?

Although LA doesnt have a great road record they have has won it past 5 against the Pistons. Including 3 at the Palace. Kobe has a great record up against Detroit and I wonder how they limit his scoring? Tough one! The Lakers have a big advantage with their big men also, Gasol and Bynum will be too much for young star Munroe to contain. I don't see LA having any trouble scoring tonight and should get plenty of easy second chance points also with their dominance on the glass.

The Lakers have finally arrived and will be full of confidence. Bad news for Detroit. I see LA winning by double digits on the road tonight!
