Taking Indiana tonight on the road in New Jersey! Huge fade on the Nets who are have just finished a 3 game road trip, are playing 3rd in 4 days and are on their 2nd of a b2b after getting blown away by the Cavs! It doesn't take a genius to see this team is in a hole right now! The Nets roster was thin to begin with this season and now with Lopez missing they lack and real presence in the middle.

The Pacers are playing their 2nd of a 4 game road trip and are coming off a disappointing loss to the Pistons. Before that though started the season 3-0. I like them to get back to their winning ways tonight! Indiana are rested and have obvious size advantage with Hibberd, West and Hansborough! This is my big play for the night and I see the Pacers winning big!

Milwaukee Bucks At Denver Nuggets

Once again this is another huge fade spot! This time the Nuggets! Denver are on b2b2b games here coming off 2 tough matches against the Lakers and will be playing their 5th game in 6 days! What a way to start the season! While the Bucks are well rested. Playing just their 3rd game of the season and their 2nd in 6 days.

Denver based their game on the back of pace against the Lakers with Lawson in particular dominant against 37 year old Fisher. Tonight will be tougher for him against the much younger and quicker Jennings and a tough defensive unit in general. I like the fresher Bucks to be tough to shake tonight and may win outright! Taking the Bucks with the points!

Sticking with the Thunder to bounce back tonight at home! The Thunder are playing 3rd game in 4 days and are on a b2b returning hem from a loss to the Mavs. However they are fantastic starters to games and will be dirty dropping last night game. On the flip side Portland has not started games as well as they would like, only leading at the main change in one of their games this season. I expect KD and his troops to come out all guns blazing against Portland excuse the pun.

On Milwalkee here to start well in Utah! The Bucks are backing up from a terrible last quarter collapse against the Nuggets last night. While Utah are also on a b2b after defeating the Hornets last night at home. This is also Utahs 4th game in 5 days!

Milwaukee are fantastic starters to games! They are a perfect 4-0 in 1st quarter thus far, while Utah are the exact opposite! The Jazz are yet to be in front at the end of the opener. This was a huge issue for them last season and was one of my big fades of the season! Much like OKC, I like the Bucks to bounce back from last nights disappointment and start well here in Utah!

All aboard the TWolves train! Just like the Clippers last year this young group are exciting and are heading in the right direction! You have to be impressed with the way they have started the season. While they have had a favorable schedule only traveling once so far in 6 games, take a look at the teams they have come up against. Close losses to OKC & Miami, then wins over Dallas & The Spurs! That's good in anyone's language.

The TWolves have had the luxury of staying at home since their one road loss in Milwaukee back on the 27/12! they were also rested yesterday. Over to the Grizzles. They have been woeful on the road, losing to the Spurs and most recently they were embarrassed at Chicago by 40pts just 4 nights ago! Memphis are on b2b and playing 3 in 4 days here also.

If that wasn't bad enough news out is Randolph will miss up to 6 weeks! This really hurts, especially against K.Love. The Wolves are at home playing great basketball and are full of confidence. They get it down tonight and cover!

Indiana Pacers At Miami Heat
1st H - HEAT -4 (x1)

Miami just had their unbeaten record taken away last game with an upset loss against the Hawks at home! Wade was well below par and as a unit they were going through the motions expecting it all just to happen. With a days rest and I suspect a solid workout, I expect the Heat to be fired up and out to prove a point here at home tonight.

Bad news for Indiana is they just get the Heat at the wrong time, coming off a loss. While I do like the Pacers as a team and expect them to be amongst the playoffs once again they will be blown away early here tonight. Indiana's 4-1 record looks impressive but who have they beaten? Toronto, Cleveland, New Jersey and have 1-1 split with Detroit! Hardly anything to brag about! They get a huge step up in class here!

Miami are once again one of the best starting teams! They tend to get out to big leads early and get some rest into their stars. While I expect the Pacers to tough I see this trend continuing with the bitter taste of a loss fresh in Miami's minds. The Heat catch the Pacers off guard and lead well at the main change!

Taking a double today as I like both these teams chances of winning outright in what I expect to be tight games.

Dallas have started to hit their straps winning their last 2, while The Spurs have won all 4 games at home. Both are on b2b games with Dallas taking care of Phoenix and San Antonio struggled against the Warriors. While they managed to get a win minus Manu last night I think 2nd up will be a struggle. This is a big Texas Showdown and I expect the defending Champs to push this one right to the end and may even win outright. Happy with the Points!

2nd game of my double I'm taking the Lakers on the road against the Blazers. LA are a completely different team with a fit and dominant Bynum in the form he is in! It takes the pressure off both Kobe and Gasol offensively and Andrew is clearly the big presence on the defensive end! While the Lakers are yet to win on the road I really like what I see. Both teams have had a days rest so I'm expecting a tight scrap. Lakers keep it tight and might even win! Taking the points.

Toronto are looking for 3 wins in a row! They are at home against the struggling Nets. New Jersey is yet to win a game and has been awful all-round. With Lopez still out the Nets have had to suit up minus Williams and Humphries also. These two are listed as probable for tonight's game but you would have to think they won't be 100% if they do.

Toronto has been a surprisingly strong starting team. Often taking a lead into the main break. While New Jersey are yet to lead after the first 2 quarters. With most games being all but over at this point. The Nets are playing their 2nd on the road with Miami back at home tomorrow. I bet their injured stars are hanging to get home. While the Raptors have been at home for he past 4 days. Toronto to start well again here and continue New Jerseys terrible start to the year.

Rolling with the Knicks to come out with a bang tonight against the winless Wizards. New York have had a terrible start to the year going 2-4, and were awful in their last 2 home games against the Bobcats and Toronto. Sure the had added some new pieces and it was going to take some time to all fit but c'mon....

A few home truths were told in the locker room after their loss to Charlotte, with Melo calling his team out. The Coach and Chandler also made it clear that these type of performances were unacceptable. Stoudamire will be better for the run and I expect the real New York to stand up a pour on plenty of points here against a Wizards team that is allowing almost 100pts against. Knicks make a statement in the 1st!

I'm sticking with the Celtics to get the job done against Indiana at home tonight. Boston have won 4 in a row, but what's most important fir this team is they are at home and rested. They also look to regain Allen which makes them also healthy. Indiana look lost on the road and will be playing their 4th in a row with their only win against the Nets.

This is a great scheduling spot for the Celtics as the will enjoy 4 days off after this match. So expect nothing to be left out on the court! While the Pacers will be keen to return home where they will have the Bobcats waiting on a b2b. With that in mind, I wouldn't be surprised to see reduced minutes for some of these Pacers tonight. Boston will prove good at home and pull away for a comfortable win.

The Lakers and Kobe in particular are in awesome form right now. With Kobe hitting 48 last night against the Suns. Add that to his 39 against the Warriors earlier and those are the two highest scores by anyone so far this season! Whats worse for the Jazz is Kobe has hit 40+ 6 times against the Jazz and has an avg of 36 in his last 5 games. He quickly stated after last nights game he was "already looking forward to it" when asked about backing up tonight in Utah. Look for Bryants hot hand to roll over into this one.

While Gasol and Bynum had relatively average nights I expect this to change here against Utah! Big Al isn't the best defender in the league and I expect LA to go through these two big men early and unsettle the Jazz big man. Look for the Lakers and Kobe to start as they finished last night here in this one!

Detroit Pistons @ Milwaukee Bucks
1st H - BUCKS -4.5 (x2)

The Bucks and Pistons are heading in completely different directions. With Milwaukee just breaking a 5 game losing streak, and in turn winning all 3 at home this season. The Bucks are clearly a different animal at home than on the road where they are 0-6 on the season. It also helps to have the big Aussie Bogut back in the line up. Not only does he bring a presence on both offense and especially defense but he allows Gooden to return to the bench and come on with the second unit.

The Pistons are a mess to put it nicely! They are on their own 5 game skid and their efforts of late have been lacking. Still without some key personal due to injury and with young players Knight and Monroe finding their feet as leaders of this group, this could be a testing time for the Pistons and their fans.

Just can't see Detroit turning it around against a rejuvenated Bucks team fresh off a win, with their Star centre back in uniform and at home. Also Milwaukee has been fantastic starters even in their recent losing streak, 2nd to only Miami in terms of 1st H performances. Detroit are awful in this category. Bucks to put this one away early!

Miami have lost 2 in row! Both in overtime! Now with Wade still hurting and in doubt they travel to Denver to try and snap this skid! If Wade is missing, alot more of the offense will be focused on LBJ which is fine! Its hard to find a good match for James as he tends to float between the 3 and the 4. Lawson and Gallinari both not 100% will hurt the high scoring Nuggets.

This is purely a gut feel here, Miami will be desperate to put a stop to this losing thing and get it done here tonight!

The Bobcats are playing the 3rd of a b2b2b and were just humiliated at home by the Pistons last night! Charlotte has lost 6 in a row and are 2-10 for the season with 5 loses at home!

This could be a long year for MJ and his Bobcats! While the Warriors haven't set the world on fire, they have impressed on occasions under new Coach Mark Jackson. They have picked up defensively and haven't been healthy all year, With Curry likely to miss again. But Ellis and Lee are doing a great job lifting this team. I see the Warriors win this well and gaining some confidence.

The Jazz hit the road to play their 2nd of a b2b tonight in Denver. The Jazz are just 1-3 on the road so far this season. While the Nuggets are somewhat quietly going about their business. They are 8-4 on the season but 6-1 here at home! Beating quality sides Miami and Lakers! They also beat Utah earlier this season here by 17!

The Jazz may be looking for some revenge for that loss here but I just feel the deep Denver side has to much talent and their up tempo style will catch Utah off guard. Denver will start well here.

Denver are on b2b road games here and playing their 3rd in 4 nights, and while last nights win over the Bucks wouldn't have taken a lot out of them since the game was over at the half, tonight's match against the Sixers will be a much tougher ask!

Phili are undefeated at home, 6-0. They have had the luxury of being at home the last 4 days and have had a days rest. I see a few issues for the Nuggets tonight. Lawson has been dynamic so far with his pace catching most teams out. He may find that more difficult and the Williams / Holiday duo. Hawes back gives stability in the middle for Phili and Iguodala will be a tough match up for Gallinari. Phili are also great defending the perimeter, an area Denver excel in. So the Nuggets may find it difficult to get their 3's.

This is a good spot for Phili, they match up well and are at home! 76ers win and cover.
