If you're taking Miami to win today, why wouldn't you wait until after Game 1 to take the Boston series price.

Ten points to twizzle for asking this.

Betting 6 units on Boston to win the series and then betting 9 units on Miami to win the opening game just shows either Golden Greek's
a) inexperience in sports betting
b) different logic than normal
c) discovery of a unique betting system that makes no sense to me but could be good

Boston to win the series can now be found at +275

But, GG nailed it on a huge winner with Miami!

If you risk 9 units for Miami to win outright by 6+ points, why would you bet Boston to win the series at the same time? I guess if you didn't have the confidence in your Miami bet, then what the hell, bet also on Boston.

One way of looking at it is GG is hedging his bets. If Boston wins, he has his series bet. If Miami wins, GG has won his bet and has a series bet that won't be decided for at least three more games. And, he could add to his Boston series bet at a better price.

My original judgment was this was very bad betting, but maybe this is a good way to make money.
